In this video, I tried some of the most popular shortcuts (and ultra shortcuts) with the worst vehicle in the entire game: the Phantom. How many shortcuts can we land? How many will we fail? Can we avenge this crazy vehicle, or will it prove itself to be terrible after all?

Fun fact! the phantom is the record holder for outside drift on sherbet land no glitch. Significantly faster than the karts and beats out the zip zip thanks to funky's off-road stat.

@@beanzard64 The zip zip is a weird vehicle it has a weirdly large hitbox and is really bouncy which in normal races just makes it straight up worse than the phantom but in the case of glitches the jankyness works to its advantage. Plus i think its so close between the two that it all comes down to strats just one miniturbo could make the difference. One thing I could see happening is the shooting star taking shy guy beach. For similar reasons to the Spear on regular no glitch. The no glitch odb bkt is held by the shooting star so its a real possibility.

I’m pretty sure for the mushroom gorge shortcut when you hit the goal post but still make it to the other side. I think by driving into the cave a bit you can get the lap to count. Cool video though 👍

I really Disagree with the Phantom being on the list of worst vehicles and not the baby booster, it might be a mid bike but its not even worse than the standard bike because of its offroad and handling.

Agree to disagree. For me, the thing with the Phantom is its drift. It's so bad that you need to slow down and rely on the handling. Sure, the good acceleration kinda makes up for it, but you still end up going slower than almost anything else because you need to constantly realign. This said, there are definitely some other vehicles that come pretty close.

Liked the video, but a sugestion for future challenges like this one is to have a short clip of the intended shortcut being done successfully with a more suitable vehiacle, I never played or watched much of Mario Kart Wii, so to have a clip like that before the attempt would give people like me a context to what expect and root for

The Phantom isn't the worst vehicle that award goes to both the Booster Seat and Bit Bike. They're the slowest vehicles in the game, so they struggle to keep up with other racers, and this is especially true online. Not to mention the Booster Seat is the second lightest kart in the game behind the Cheep Charger, and the Bit Bike is the second lightest vehicle in the game behind the Quacker. Not only do they get pushed around like crazy, but they also jump at high angles. Like, why does weight matter so much in Mario Kart Wii? Oh, and their drift is mediocre.

I held a vote on what the worst vehicle in the game was, and the Phantom took it by a landslide. That being said, the Jetsetter could definitely be the worst as well.

6:15 if you drove into the cave, it would have counted as a lap 12:45 as long as you drive back into the tunnel when you respawn, the lap will count

For mushroom gorge, the lap wouldn't have counted since he hit the finish line which resulted in a low angle so the game would have registered him as going backwards on the finish line and subtracting a lap. The only way I've seen it count when you hit the finish line was to go almost directly vertically and over the wall and landing in the mushroom pads.

12:45 wouldn't have counted either way due to the angle he jumped onto the pipe at , he hit the finish line same as mushroom gorge
