Mario Kart Wii - Why does this track keep eating me for breakfast?!

I swear only the first bit was my fault. Those reds really, REALLY wanted to greet me. And then what happened after was just unfortunate :P
But this is the third time this track has done something rather unusual to me. Only two of those highlights are now on KZbin, but it keeps on happening. It never ends :P On what planet do red shells behave like that? And I've seen blue shells spin in circles in the past too. I think it's only a matter of time until one of those trolls me in some way, too, hahah. ...I really shouldn't say these things.

Any chance we'll see the random select option for tracks work like in vanilla? Also the ability to edit the alphabetical list of tracks. I remove a few tracks but keep the rest alphabetised but it gets harder to maintain with each update because tracks are replaced and lose their order. Finally, editing track names? Thanks.

Hey MrBean, Whenever i try to update ctgp, it says cannot connect to update server. I am connected to the internet, have the latest version of the wii internet settings, and the one time I did install the updates, I did it with quicktime player and I was able to play the new tracks offline but still not online. I have the homebrew channel and ctgp r channel, but no matter what I try it doesn't let me connect. Some help would be greaty appreciated. -A fellow MKWii enthusiast

In CTGP with custom tracks on, you can't vote for classic random. You can do it if you turn off custom tracks in the settings menu, though! And if you keep getting disconnected, you may want to check your router settings. Try enabling the DMZ and pointing it at your Wii console, or do some experimentiing!

This is off-topic, but I tried to install CTGP-R on my SD card today. I successfully installed it on my SD card and launched CTGP-R through the Homebrew channel. I am them met with a black screen saying "The inserted SD card does not have CTGP-R installed on it." Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

Means the files for CTGP are in the wrong place on the SD. The SD card's root directory should look the same as the inside of the ZIP archive does.

Yeah. Make sure to review the instructions carefully to make sure everything comes out in the right place (e.g. on the SD card there will be folder called ctgpr and inside that will be a bunch of files, etc).

Confirm the Internet settings on the console are correct, and then try reloading. Sometimes it gets stuck even if they are right, but that's usually resolved by restarting the console or channel.

For example, I would setup a room, my buddy would join and we would race but it wouldn't be just me and him only. The ai racers would be with us. Does that make sense? I know exactly what you're talking about. You cannot have AI racers in a friend room on Mario Kart Wii, nor on CTGP. If you want other human players to play with you, you will have to add their friend codes and they have to then join the friend room as well. But alternatively you can play races in public rooms (Worldwide/CTWW) and have your friend join you there, at which point any random people can join you.

Mrbean on the new ctgp track from mk7 has a bug if you go to the "glider" ramp with a star you can`t drive on off-road proof: twd98`s newest video road to 9999vr custom tracks episode 27.

That's actually a bug in MKW itself, you can get the same effect on N64 DK Jungle Parkway by using a star into the cannon and then driving into the grass!
