Ah Mario Maker 2, the ruiner of worlds. This is a sequel to the first part of a video review I did of Mario Maker 2. It was called Mario Maker 2 Is An Absolute Nightmare - This Is Why. I made this second part it because of the 7000 comments I got asking where my review of Mario Maker 2 was. You won. You better be happy.
Mario Maker 2 came out on the Switch over a year ago, so who knows why you wanted it. In all seriousness though I really did want to finish this Mario Maker 2 review. I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t want to. I actually started out making this Mario Maker 2 review in a really chill way. But like all my videos I got really serious and worked super hard on it and added musical numbers and animations.

I pretty much agree with every point in this video. There's one thing I need to add: Not only is it incredibly difficult to find good levels, it is also incredibly difficult to get your good level out to a large audience (unless you're already famous on the internet). And even if you do, there will always be some people that just can't tell a good level from a bad one. I poured hours into making (and subsequently testing) a Bank Heist level, yet it barely got played at all. Not only that, but I even received a complaint about restricting the view (you're robbing a bank in the middle of the night - obviously the lights aren't going to be on) and getting called a 'coward' of all things for doing that. It doesn't surprise me at all that levels where you literally don't have to do anything - no effort required - are so popular.

The main flaw is that the location of the exit isn't that obvious to some. Once you've collected enough coins, you can escape through the sewers outside of the bank. Have fun!

The difference is that a good souls-like aims to have its own unique take on the genre rather than to emulate dark souls, with the ones that do only emulate dark souls being lackluster. On the other hand, Mario Maker is actually designed from the ground up to emulate not just one, but multiple Mario games.
