honestly i can actually see mario winning because of a theory of powerups stacking up over the user's base power if used together so with the power-ups mario used including the super star which probably gives him a really powerful boost i can actually see him winning, just not too much in the way that this animation depicted it

And his paper version is even more broken due to defeating dimentio who was gonna destroy the entire Mario verse which has the string theory in the background of Super Paper Mario game(The one with dimentio) and the other there is consider a higher plane of existence so he’s 11D to 12D too. So he’s on par with sonic I say Game Mario is on par with Game Sonic And Paper Mario is on par with Archie sonic

This isn't *A* Mario VS Sonic battle. This is *THE* Mario VS Sonic battle. This is EXACTLY how it would go if this was canon! Unlike most fights, this actually portrays the characters as "rivals" rather than "mortal enemies". That touch with Mario saving Sonic from space was plain awesome, and all those mixed-and-matched frames for in-betweens... I can't be the only one who has to watch it in slow-motion to appreciate everything!

Mario is actually stronger than sonic if you look into his lore. Like the fact he traveled through matter splatter galaxy which is a super space in it's Japanese translation. A super space is an infinite space-time dimensional dome. Which Mario needs infinite strength power and speed to even maneuver. I have more feats but I'll explain them if needed

@@thisguyroboty Please do explain more, but Mario lore in itself is flawed to begin with (the creators of Mario literally saying that every Mario is the same Mario, even though that Paper Mario appeared alongside Mario & Luigi in the Turn-based RPG series). Also even if that type of space would be infinite, wouldn't it still have a distance, if I had an infinite string of wool, I'd still be able to measure the distance from point A to point B provided it's within a countable range which would be considered a low ball for Mario (I would assume). Then there's weird lore inconsistency, like considering Mario can just casually walk throughout infinite space, then why would he need to use the Odyssey to get to other places and even travel to the moon when he could just get there within a millisecond (of course they needed to make a game and couldn't just have Mario travel across the planet within seconds but I'm just saying if he truly had that kind of speed within the lore, why would he go through all that effort if he could just do everything instantly). I'm not too much of a debater so I'll probably bring up some bad arguments that can be easily countered but hopefully I get good answers anyways.

I personally think both Sonic and Mario can be fairly even depending on how you look at it. For example, if you consider the Mario RPG games to be canon (which the Mario games as a whole don't have an established canon so they pretty much are), then Sonic will have a very rough time dealing with the plumber. Also, to address the issue with Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam; if I'm not wrong, the Paper Mario series is actually a book(s) that was written about Mario's untold adventures. With that in mind, it makes more sense as to how Paper Mario is able to physically interact with the real Mario within the crossover. Not to mention Dreamy Bowser from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, who is basically able to wish whatever he wants into reality. Even then, however, the titular brothers still managed to defeat Bowser in basically their BASE forms. Mario also has a very wide and vast variety of items to choose from, as well as power ups; with some of which being able to grant invisibility that can likely match Super Sonic. I can go om forever when it comes to Mario's arsenal, but you get the idea. Jumpman has a lot of stiff that can match, or even rival the Blue Blur's Super, and even Hyper forms. Though, that's not to say Sonic would lose, as he also is NO pushover. So, at the end of the day, it's likely for either of them to win, really. Not that I would care kuch about it. I'm both a Nintendo AND Sega kid. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my little essay here. Thanks for reading it all the way through if you did. Peace!✌

I will say I have never seen a composite Sonic vs Mario fight ever. I know Mario shouldn't be curb stomped or anything, but I do think he has a bit of an edge. If it were composite Sonic, you'd see him using Ultra and Fleetway Super more. Game Sonic is just more cracked than people tend to give him credit for. Of course, the same does go for Mario though.

Ok I'm gonna settle this debate, Mario wins yatta yatta yatta heres why. He manages to beat Dreamy Bowser in Base, which for those who dont know, The dream stone is a source of INFINITE power, granting ones any wish, idc about some bullshit excuse like: "Oh mario needed (insert bros attack here)" Its a fucking game mechanic to make the game easier, not some power boost, and it wouldnt matter anyway if Dreamy bowser already had Infinite Power, RIGHT? And also you gotta be some world class hypocrite, What abput the Chaos Emeralds, those are supposed Infinite Power sources too right? (Atleast from what ive heard) The core difference between the two is, Sonic CAN USE Infinite Power, but Mario BEAT infinite power... in base form, his power-ups just give him extra abilities to make him have more variety.

Reasons why mario won:so in the games it doesn't look like a lot the bullet bills look slow while sonics look like he's going fast and doing a lot but in Mario Galaxy the cutscenes it moves as fast as a normal canon ball it just looks slow for a animated and gameplay experience so story wise Mario is literally moving so fast he jumps on canon balls and Mario was able to swing a giant 5000 pound lizard dragon turtle WITH EASE HE DIDN'T EVEN RUN OUT OF BREATH and he was able to break bricks with his bare hands and he was blown to a whole other planet and landed on his two feet perfectly with a skip in his step and a smile on his face he didn't feel a thing and Mario is able too dodge lightnig and keep up with gods almost as fast as sonic and literally killed a god in the dark world with the power of team work and he wasn't even serious the only time hes ever serious is when hes playing soccer plus mario doesn't even need fire Flower in m&l he naturally has fire powers before u bring up sonic being thrown by a titan and survived THAT HAPPENED TOO MARIO A DECADE AGO IN SUPER MARIO BROS WII BUT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THAT AND SONIC WOKE UP HYPER VENTALATING LIKE HE BARLEY SURVIVED MARIO JUMP UP AND WAS SLIGHTLY AFFECTED HE WAS JUST DIZZY in short MARIO SOLOS

It's a good animation, but I'm worried that Sonic didn't use the new abilities from the Frontiers. Seriously, why do most people ignore the updated Sonic from Frrntiers? He finally has a bunch of abilities in both base and super form, such as Power Boost, which is already enough for Fire Mario, plus a boost for the super form, which as sad as it sounds, is a replacement for the hyper form. And why did he switch to a hyper handicap in the first place after only two or three hits? His super form, even before the Frontiers, is not that weak.
