Marion Williams is absolutely extraordinary. The power and grace in her voice is other worldly. Ten thumbs down must have some personal problem.

He wrote most of the songs he recorded, he was a very talented minister of music too. Both Alex and his wife were musically talented.
@jollysincere11 жыл бұрын
Never again will you see or hear this kind of singing, 1st, the singers of today (if U can call them singers) do not possess the talent to pull off this masterpiece. and the the musicians ...well that's another topic altogether.

This is the true gospel music.The stuff today is worldly, sensual and not at all godly. We need to get back to what true praise and worship looks like. Paul calls for singing spiritual hymns, but the so-called contemporary gospel and Christian music sounds just like the secular. You can’t tell the difference.

She sounds douche like Mahalia Jackson luv it we so need to go bk to sum of the traditional hymns

I'm waiting to see Alex Bradford's "If Mother Knew" on KZbin. It's powerful stuff and a little scary. Also Bro. Cecil Shaw's great recordings like "Pray On My Child" from the original 78 or 45(?).

But wasn't this type of gospel adapted from combining with the worldly style (blues, jazz, etc)?? My opinion is that the contemporary christian musicians aren't to be criticized. It's just that now isn't God's time for his work through gospel music?
@mraaronhd5 жыл бұрын
stars2luv I think they all came from the same work songs that slaves used to sing while working in the fields.

well we could if they had not replaced the organ with a loud drummer and moved in the worldly tunes.Get the world out and the Holyspirit will come back in.
