What modules were you mainly using in this?
@rbeny5 жыл бұрын
mainly 301 (playing back novation peak loops I made), and then clouds, morphagene, and magneto for effects. modulation from marbles and stages. 301 has some effects stuff going on as well.

What is sequencing here and what are the sound sources? Or are they already all recorded and being played back thru the ER-301 and MG?
@rbeny6 жыл бұрын
sound source is 2 loops of novation peak from the 301. in the video they are running through the different processors, samplers, loopers etc

Hi! First and foremost, what an amazing channel you have! Your sound is incredible! Congratulations! I stumbled on it because I'm planning to get into eurorack sampling and I was looking for good stuff made with Morphagene and Nebulae V2. But I'm still considering selling some gears to finance an ER-301 or Assimil8or. And man, you have a ER-301 and Morphagene! So I'd like to know everything about them from you but that would become a long interview. So I'd like to know how much of Morphagene the ER-301 can or can't be, and why do you have them both (maybe the question is how do you use Morphagene, having ER-301 in the same rack ?) ? Cheers!
@rbeny5 жыл бұрын
Yep, to go in depth on them would be quite the essay. The gist of it is that Morphagene is very tactile and its controls and features are completely set. ER-301 is more open ended. You could make something that kind of acts like Morphagene, but it's not quite the same. It's deeper in some ways (I mean 301 can be used for hundreds of things besides sampling, but in sampling alone it could be deep), but also lacks the immediacy and specificity of Morphagene. That may sound vague I think haha.

This is a very great piece! fantastic job with the melody, is it coming from the ER-301?
@rbeny6 жыл бұрын
Ben Tunell yes. one of the internal oscillators with a custom unit sequencer i built
@freddiefranklin17 ай бұрын
Ah man beautiful! Quick question - is all of that degradation and warbliness coming from the Magneto or is there some processing in post? If it's all Magneto then it sounds incredible! My case is 208hp and I went with Mimeophon on delay duties which is a much smaller (and also incredible!) module. Would need to do quite a significant redesign to fit in Magneto but maybe it is worth it!
@rbeny7 ай бұрын
so it's been a while, but from what I can gather Clouds (in looping delay mode, with a lower audio quality setting) is actually providing a lot of degradation and warbliness (and noise). Magneto is also excellent at warbles, but the feedback degradations are a bit different to Clouds in looping delay mode. Magneto's feedback sound can be a bit cleaner.
@freddiefranklin17 ай бұрын
@@rbeny thanks for getting back to me! Ah yeah ok. I like to use Clouds in looping delay mode but don't think I've ever got it sounding as nice as you do! Is that with a frozen buffer? Or just using it as a standard delay?

WOW
@Almanacs6 жыл бұрын
Do you use an external sequencer for those sort keys/arps? Or is it all clock dividing? (numb question, I'm a newbie).
@rbeny6 жыл бұрын
in this case, i recorded a loop using a looper in the er-301 (far left module) before doing the video shoot. i just played a few notes on the novation peak with the keystep.
