Well I can wholeheartedly say! The reason I have major jealousy issues is bcuz my parents have always made me feel small compared to my siblings and then I got into an abusive relationship and he would make comments about women being "sexy" then say oh sara you're only" cute"and for years and still if I let it I would obsess over those words so when other men would say those to me I either wouldnt believe them calling me sexy or if a man called me cute I'd automatically think I'm not good enough! I'm learning to accept myself for me and not through a mans eyes...theres always going to be better looking, better face, better body, smarter etc... so my journey rn is focused on accepting myself ❤

Thank you for your hard work Marisa. I was raised by dysfunctional parents. I managed to become a fairly normal person with a decent life through opening up, reflecting and forgiving to them. I still have moments of anxiety that I do not know where they come from as that part of my life never goes away. Listening to you helps to clear my mind, keep on healing and keep on going. All the best!

I rarely feel envy and love it when others are successful. I acknowledge and congratulate...it makes me happy as if I am sharing the joy of their accomplishment. The difficulty for me is that I noticed that if I give someone a compliment, somehow they thinks that takes away from me, as if I seen now as less than. People do verbalize this. I am also a consistent target of female envy at work. I think 90% of the population is addicted to something. Makes communicating impossible.

This helps so much! I do tend to compare myself to people and feel deflated and inadequate. As much as I’ve worked on my self-esteem with a life coach for a few years now I still feel it at times and it helps to remember that people often showcase their good moments in person and in social media so we’re not seeing their struggles. Thank you again for positing this. Much love to you ❤️❤️

It's funny that I should watch this video. For the first few years of seeing my therapist I used to envy her because in my mind, I thought she had got all her own shit sorted out and I hadn't. Then one day, she told me that she wished she cld be more like me!! I think we (the collective people who seek help with our mindset) often think we cld never be as clever, controlled, aware, or whatever word you choose to use....as our therapist. And you Marissa have just exposed yr own true self by sharing your journey with me, for which I thank you 🙏🙏💕

😍thank you dear Marisa for this amazing message. I needed it so much in my life now. Being raised by a kind but perfectionist mother has made some issues for me today. I am fighting daily to stop comparing myself with others and also to ignore the criticism of not being "perfect girl" from my parents. Some times I feel so tired emotionally but today your video changed something inside and I plan to be stronger and feel enough no matter what people say. Stay safe and have a great week.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching many of your videos and the "I am enough" movement has helped me especially. In this video however, you say to stop comparing up to avoid feeling jealous, but then you apply the reversal of comparing down to feel better about yourself. Ex, I went to Zimbabwe and felt so grateful because I have a home while many others don't. That is still a comparison of what you have vs. someone else. Jealousy is definitely a tough one!

Hallo! I have a question, Marisa. When you mean I have to put myself in front of the person I want, that's not literally, isn' it? I mean, if I wish to meet an abroad lady, looking for by social media is a way to putting myself in front of her? Thanks if you take time to answer ♥️

Envy is why we are seeing a resurgence of Marxism in the world today. What people need to learn, is that the world is not fair. Anyone over the age of twelve, who screams things are not fair, has some growing up to do. Because in the end, reality will give these folks a harsh lesson.
