In a way I know what Bonnie is going through I lost both my mother and my little brother to addiction and we all tried to make them both get help but my mom didn't want to because she wanted to help my brother and my grandma with their addictions and while my grandma did get help for her addiction. Unfortunately my mother and my little brother never got the help that they needed for their addictions my mom because she was more focused on helping my little brother and his wife with their addiction instead of herself and my little brother because he just wasn't ready we tried so hard to make them get help because we were afraid of losing them and we wound up losing them anyways. The point is is that you can try to make someone get help all you want but until they're ready they're not going to get the help that they need. I miss my mom and my little brother so much I lost my mom 10 years ago and I lost my little brother a year ago and it hurts so bad. So for anybody who's ever been in my situation where you had to watch your loved ones destroy themselves with addiction just know you're not alone. And for anybody who's going through this right now I pray that you and your family get the help that you need.

I recently lost a dear friend to cancer. She was an alcoholic with over 20 years sobriety. She would say “Trying to control other people is a great way to start drinking.”

I went to AA and NA for years. I was a chronic relapse. I wasn’t ready to quit. In the end I couldn’t stop drinking. I started at 8 a.m. and drank through the day until I went to bed. Then I would wake up in the middle of the night with tremors and palpitations. After detox I was back at it. God did for me what I couldn’t do for myself. I had a major stroke. I haven’t had a drink since.

It’s so sad knowing that in real life Allison Janney lost her brother to addiction. I’m sure she had a tough time shooting this scene😢

I wonder if Allison went method and incorporated some RL stuff for this storyline? Considering she lost her actual brother to addiction.

Kristen Johnson is a recovering addict as well and she lost her sister to drugs. It's why the show works so well I think, no one is immune, and they ALL have compassion. God bless Chuck Lorre for having the sense and talent to create such a show.

Kristen said she used to down two bottles of wine a day for years. Really wish I had partied with her! But glad she’s sober now too

While it is a KNOWN UNDISPUTED FACT " A Person has to Want to be Helped and Seek Help", but for Majorie to tell Bonnie "Walk Away" is As HIPACRITICLE As HIPACRITICLE can Be, being that "Walk Away" is not for Bonnie/Christy relapses/setbacks. They must Cuddled/Huddled/Pacified.

Oh knock it off. Ray explicitly said he didn't have a problem even after an intervention, having his ass kicked, and being kicked out of Adam's apartment. Bonnie and Christy both admitted that they needed help every time they relapsed. There's a HUGE difference.
