I am a physician and I do not understand their vision. Is it to attract new patients, converse with established patients, share interesting medical information, allow physicians to interact with one another? “Social Media” does not work well in medicine because of strict HIPPA privacy laws. Sorry, but when you have a product & you say that it's only in the alpha stage with only 50 users, then no it's not gonna go well. On top of that, I do agree that this can become a huge liability issue because of the fact that they're trying to get in contact with the clients without having them come in person and on top of that, there's a very good likelihood that someone can easily hack the system and 'act' like a doctor and easily fool someone into something that they don't need or want.

Healthcare providers are doing things similar to this like Kaiser Permanente, minus the “social” aspect. They have apps that allow people to keep up to date on their own medical profile. Doctors would absolutely hate having a “social network” for all of their patients to unload all of their medical issues at them at once all day and night. Don’t even get me started on the vetting process. This wasn’t thought out.
