@@emmakai2243 realistically this product is rubbish. whenever you patch plaster, depending on the hole size. You actually feather out the hole with the filler. If you put a edge or ruler over the hole you will see a hump that is within a few hairlines thick. A good plasterer will feather out the hump so you won’t notice it. Using this product will not give you that luxury because you’re essentially building a hump over the sticker which adds more thickness meaning you need to patch bigger to cover the sticker. Notice he never sanded it and doesn't show it as a finished product. By placing the plastic disk on the wall instead of paper, you won't be able to sand it down to a smooth finish. If you try to, it will expose the plastic disk. That is why we use paper as the cover for the hole. You will have to leave the spot with a bulge and can never get a smooth finish because the cover patch is not big enough to "feather" it in.

The sharks certainly arent sheetrockers. The issues with the wallrx is the patches are too small to get a good float. Im not a sheetrocker but I believe the rule of thumb is 10 inchs from edge on a patch with a backing( the clear disk) so you dont end up with a noticeable bulge or wind up sanding down to the disk. Also they take way too long to dry for professional use.
@margaretlee-reed8143 жыл бұрын
Great idea (product). Does the kit come with a 2"x2" square of sandpaper? No one asked. But, would still purchase. Perfect for renters, landlords, college kids, maintenance guys, handy men, painters, home owners.
@johnfriesen10713 жыл бұрын
I get what he's doing but as someone who does Reno's, there isn't enough product around the plastic backing to make a good feathered edge, or if you push the product to deep or you oversand, then you'll still have to go buy a bucket of putty.

The sanding is the most tricky part in these patch repairs.
@djjazzyjeff12322 жыл бұрын
It is, but with the way modern homes are made mostly because of the textured walls and ceilings, it's really easy to hide repairs. It's not like it used to be 20+ years ago when everyone wanted it super smooth. Because that is actually much harder to achieve and it doesn't look as nice (in my opinion). But anyway, lol.

The key with this product is getting it to the masses before any other manufacturers jump on the band wagon with their own product. If it is allowed to be marketed to other parts of the world, who's to say a separate foreign entity doesn't jump in to compete with the domestic market? A contract would need to be iron clad if that's possible.

I seriously doubt that's the case but I would think this product would not be a good fix. He basically put clear tape over that hole so your sheetrock mud sticking to a piece of tape so you're counting on that tape not to pull loose from the surface
@BellTunnel3 жыл бұрын
If the hole in the wall is much bigger than the head of a hammer, much more than plaster patch will be required. You need actual dry wall. Seems like this limits the product’s effectiveness significantly.

Owns 100% of his company, and every sale (even if they’re international) still comes directly from him. He’s selling them at retail (the price set by the Dr.) , not a discount, to Robert who Will then do what he pleases (more then likely sell then at a higher price to others) Dr. Gets to keep 100% of his company, and if he patents the product in the USA, will have little competition on home Turf. He got 150k up front, a constant source of income without having to search for buyers, and is leaving with 100% of his company.
@Mostly-Sane3 жыл бұрын
And the Thing is there is no international market for this product. DIY and then just specific to dry wall. Other countries use solid concrete walls so wouldn’t work there. The product itself looks like IT is just a QUICK FIX. Result after sanding it wouldn’t look great
