I knew him from Hanging With Mr Cooper before i knew him for standup. Crazy how different his comedy act was compared to his show. Black shows back then were peak IMO. We've already gone past the golden age. Now the vast majority of black shows are ghetto, ratchet behavior, or crime.

Always loved Hanging w Mr Cooper.... But for him to say he “didn’t wanna work for anyone” so that’s why he didn’t go to In Living Color....um did he produce and air the show himself? Did he not work for the network / producers of Mr. Cooper? The same way he would have worked for Keenan as the producer?
@rodman1303 Жыл бұрын
He still would've had more control on his own show than in living color
@Day-ZDuke Жыл бұрын
@@rodman1303 you’re right, and I get where he was coming from. But I think it was more that he wanted to be the star of the show (therefore having more control) than being just one of the many stars. I just thought it was strange that he phrased it like that. Almost like it was something personal to do with Keenan, or the fact he was more of a peer, that he didn’t want to “work for” him. Cause they were both Network programs, so he was working for people regardless
