He’s a brilliant man and a great actor too. I hope I can see his detective series, even if it means going to Alibi for a short while. I admire the fact that it’s isn’t all about the money for him; as he said, budgets are getting smaller and money is tight. It says a lot about him that he creates shows for the challenge and joy of it, not because of the money he receives.

It was rubbish. What a shame that Gatiss (and the BBC) thinks that he is the only person capable of choosing, adapting, producing and directing these 'ghost stories'. He's clearly lost his touch... if he ever had it in the first place. Watch the originals from the 1970s... much better. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

You've got to admit he's consistent. He's ruined Dr Who, Sherlock and the Ghost Story at Christmas. His real strength is in his original work not in adapting other writers for the TV.

Agree 100%. I loved him in League of Gentlemen, but almost everything else he’s involved in is terrible.

His Sherlock Holmes is appallingly bad on so many levels, the ham acting, the ludicrous plots.

I suppose your standards much be so extremely high and I admire you for having such a wide range of experience in much better shows than anything that Mark Gatiss has ever produced.
