Can you believe that JAG had once been cancelled after it's first season. CBS took the gamble and ended up with a major money maker. 9 more years of JAG and ALL the NCIS spinoffs. NBC must be forever kicking themselves.

@@hrjw Meg, not Mac, was a Navy LT JG. The decision CBS made was to bring out someone as a potential love interest and Meg couldn't ever be given her rank. Hence the change to Mac being a Marine Major. I liked both, myself. I will say that Meg, when she went undercover in Parris Island, the Marine Corp Hymn in the gas chamber Got to me. (That and Space: Above and Beyond also aired the same year). Freshman in college and having had HSROTC (Army) in high school, I had not been thinking on a military career but that scene (And those in SAAB and Mac just made my interest grow.) got me thinking about being a Marine. 1998, with a lose of scholarships and inability to continue to pay for my education and my unwillingness/fear to go into debt had me on the yellow footprints.

Ive watched ncis since i was like 11... and i used to actually get scared over some of the murders. But Gibbs always made me feel so so safe!!! Hope i can marry a guy like that oneday (minus the murder parts)

And to think if JAG has stayed cancelled NCIS would never be born. Because NCIS was a SPINOFF. NBC cancelled JAG after the first season. CBS saved it and they got 9 more years, and all the NCIS spinoffs. Talk about a cash cow that was almost thrown away. NBC lost a ton.

NCIS is my all time favorite show.. It's been running close to half my life..! And Gibbs is easily my favorite main character, and Mark seems to be a genuinely nice bloke too.. I have every episode of this great show, can't pick a bad episode (kodus goe to the writers and crew for that), and have seen the first 12 seasons twice.. I get that there probably isn't room in the team for 6, but I really do hope DiNozzo at least makes an appearance this season to tie off the comeback of Ziva, assuming she is only back for this season..

This show started the year I was born, it was on everyday in my house growing up cause my mum LOVED it. I recently started rewatching the whole show, and I remember so much of it. Its so nostalgic, and crazy that I am the same age as it 😂 Gibbs looks so much older here and honestly my heart is not ready for what's ahead 🥺🤧

You talking the first episode of NCIS or the back door pilot from the parent show JAG. After all NCIS is a spinoff from JAG. JAG is the success story to live by, It was CANCELLED by NBC and SAVED by CBS. It not only was saved but had 9 more years of life and It had a 2 episodes backdoor pilot for NCIS and the rest is history.

The guy that got bit admitted that HE is the one that was in the wrong, and Harmon DID try and do everything that he could to make Pauley feel comfortable, but the set IS dog friendly and there were no other incidents with Harmon's dog, other than when this guy created a situation in which he got bit, which happens. It is NOT the dog's fault, and she should bloody well know that considering she freaking RESCUED several dogs, but nope, she wanted what she wanted and she didn't get it and threw a hissy fit and refused to work on camera with Harmon for a YEAR before finally leaving the show. She was 100% unprofessional despite the numerous times he tried to work things out with her to get her to stay. And then after she left she started throwing around accusations about sexual abuse, and making absolutely NO sense on twitter. So yeah, all the shit that went down was pretty much entirely down to her.

Harmon pretty much calls the shots now on NCIS, so if wants to bring his dog, he gets to bring his dog. And I am a proponent that it's never the dogs fault, it's the owners fault; he had to own up to it.
