My dad still goes on tantrums if my mother doesn't cook what he likes for dinner, and she has always treated him more like a child than she treated any of my siblings. She doesn't voice her opinions or demand any respect, she just accepts him slamming doors when things don't go his way or he isn't greeted with a smile after wasting our savings on motorcycles and beer. If my mother is at work or a vacation, I have to play mom 2.0 and cook, clean etc for him as well as put on a friendly neutral facade and respond positively to anything he has to say. I basically feel like a trapped parent of a emotionally fragile toddler when I'm taking care of the household, even though I'm his daughter, while at the same time being scared. I was beaten as a young teen for showing emotions and shit broke down on a regular basis when I was trying to resolve conflicts in a problem-solving manner instead of taking my father's side. Fuck behaving like a rational human being apparently. I know not all men are like that at all, and most men I know are better. But still, I often notice the same behavior patterns in different degrees. Fragile pride, short temper, smaller capability of showing empathy and having irrational thoughts combined with the lack of logical thinking, seem to be shared traits. But then again, this might just be inherited in a bigger extent in my family, genes and upbringing can be complicated. Generalizing all men to scum would be sexist and just factually wrong, so I'm not claiming anything such. My perception of men is based on past experiences, so to me it's reality. To others, maybe that's the opposite of theirs.

True but supposedly age 12 is the age of consent (for sex) in the Philippines (Not kidding) & a good % start having kids young by age 15-16 some younger. I agree it's wrong but statistically if the this new chick marries him she will be statistically out of the Filipino norm (most young Filipinas with kids for instance, are not married).
