What a shame it is how little credit Mark James got for writing this DYNAMITE SONG! (face it, you have to google just to find out who wrote it). I listened to his version and was suprised at how similar to Elvis's version it was. Elvis was a HUGE talent as we all know, but as usual, songwriters don't get the credit they deserve and this is a classic example.

A guy that doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves is Don Crews, Chips partner and co-owner of American Sound Studios. Mark James tells in another interview that Don suggested to him “what about that song of yours, Suspicious Minds?” Don Crews was from northeast Arkansas, not far from Memphis. He passed away a few years ago but his son Erick lives in Jonesboro, AR and administers a Facebook page on American Sound Studios.
