I truly believe that after Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler is the best lyricist there is on contemporary music (Rock, Folk, Country, etc) scene these days (From the 80's onward). Not to mention his guitar playing that has a "voice of its own." I've seen him twice in Ottawa: One time with Dire Straits and the second time, solo with his band. If he ever comes around these parts again, I'll surely be there.
