A top ten all time lead rock singer who just does not get the credit I think he deserves. Guy has an awesome voice and is/was a great front man.

Mark was a great front man. He had a great voice, good looks, a good sense of humor and not too conceited!

Mark Lindsey was my “man crush” as kids say today. I had pictures, posters, and album covers on my wall. Him and Dino Dinella, drummer of Rascals.

Did anyone else notice that he shaved 3 years off his age. I thought man he's well spoken for a 22 year old. In your early 20s 3 years is a lot. No matter. He seems like a cool guy.

Cool interview, just saw him with the Happy Together Tour in San Diego for second time 2015/2016. It appealed to me to buy an autographed pic of Mark after the show. Saw PRR in Northern Ca. at a Casino in 2001 and got all the good stuff there and met the band too.

The Aztec Calendar Channel ive watched the Happy Together Tour a couple of times, but sadly, it didn't play in our area the year Mark was featured.

I think the two guitarists with all that choreography is what really made the band the center of attention.

Mark always sounded awesome and had that energy a front man should have. They all had great energy and sounded great. American Rock and Roll Royalty. They deserve a lot of credit being the most popular rock band in their time with more consecutive top 20 hits than anyone including the Beatles! Come on now! They belong in the Rock and Roll hall of fame!! Do it! Will always be a huge fan! ❤

I am watching a TV commercial for 70s music and saw Paul Revere and the Raiders. I just had to research where are they now? That was great music!

Mark was actually 24 when this was shot. He didn't want to seem that much older than the girls who chased him. He's 24 here, not 22. He was born in 1942 and this was shot in '66- you do the math.
@MusicDude869 жыл бұрын
Dave Marko Correct! A lot of musicians did that back then, including Del Shannon, who was born in 1934 but to make him seem younger he said he was born in 1939.

Nuts, Dick. I was hoping for a bit more substantive questions about the music and being in a band,... but still a fun little interview even if it was WAY more "Tiger Beat" in style than I was hoping for.

I read something about Mark's relationship with Paul on his (Mark's) website. Mark said that he didn't get along with his own father, and so Paul became like a father figure (if I remember what was said about it correctly)

They were my very first concert ever in 1968. There were several artists that travelled with them. The only two I remember are BJ Thomas and Tony Roe

His eyebrows seem unreal.........This is not long after a make over that changed him from a dangly nerd into one of America's best known and successful teen idols.....who due to the overload of clowning around, has failed to be taken seriously by his peers and media.... and who should be now have gained the recognition and respect that lesser bands received......

Even as early as 1967 Mark was shitting on Paul, his employer. Paul made him a star, gave him lead billing.

Any context for the jab at Paul being "...greedy and knows what he wants"?
@RaiderRooter-hl9cj4 жыл бұрын
Eric Williams, given the time, it was probably just a good natured jab, as Paul was sitting right there. Paul being cheap was a standard Jack Benny style quip at the time. They did a "cheap" bit during the Atlanta Underground show one time.
