My husband has been showing me the church services on the computer, and sometimes the songs are the hymns and some songs are the modern Christian songs we hear on the Christian Radio Station. After MUCH prayers, I finally asked my husband one Sunday afternoon while the church choir was leaving the front of the church to join the rest of the congregation, I asked my husband “who died, and where is the casket?” My husband paused the church service video, and said to me “what do you mean, who died, what casket?” I told him that no matter what songs the choir sings, they sing as if they are singing at a funeral, they do not sing with any joy, one song they sing they drag it out for at least four days. That week he spoke to the choir director and repeated what I asked AND said. The choir director agreed with me, and brought it to the choir’s attention. Daniel Benson, our church deacons decided they wanted our church to go back to the old ways. As a result many of the middle age and younger people are leaving. Preventing people from openly worship the Lord is NOT in the best interest of the church. Even the Bible tells us to make a joyful noise and raise your hands to the Lord.

@@tlynnprice Amen brother! And I was a Baptist pastor for 30 years. Deacons should not even exist in churches today. Jesus told His apostles to seek out qualified men as deacons to serve food to the widows, so none would go without. Today they think their job is to run the church and supervise the pastor! Put those dictators out of the office and out of the church if necessary!

OK, what about Episcopalians? Actually, now I have the time to think of it I was raised Church of England as a friend of mine said after we went to a Baptist service and bible study. "That was hard work all we ever needed to do was dress up, turn up,, genuflect keep still look downwards and that made us Church going Christians" These people have to study, now they can wear comfortable clothes, look up raise their hands for ages and have you seen their bibles, dog-eared pages and covered in yellow highlighter marks." Janet Trim he talking about theological differences: pre-millennial vs post-millenial; sprinkling vs dunking; baptism of children vs adult baptism,there are a lot of differences of style, form and even doctrine between denominations that goes past the understanding and belief of Jesus as Savior.

Janet Trim There are many who go to Church but the teachings are much different. Church of Christ believes baptism saves. I go by the KJV Bible and it tells us how to believe. I’m an Independent Baptist and that is how Mark was raised. Seven Day Adventist do not celebrate Christmas. As a lifelong Seventh-day Adventist (56 years) I can tell you that your statement is completely false. Seventh-day Adventists do celebrate Christmas and they also believe in righteousness by faith, not by works. As with any denomination, there are exceptions - those who lean far one way or the other - but the Seventh-day Adventist doctrines and beliefs are not as you have stated.
