It’s so nice to meet the ones we like and find out they are also such a class act. I had a similar experience in Dallas Texas at a Ferrari meet Scaglietti was there such a gentleman and class act. Memories! I’m so happy you share these moments with us all. It gives us a brief time to reflect on our own experiences.

Yes it will always be with me and to think that I nearly didn’t go ! It really was a last minute decision. Just goes to show that if you don’t make the effort you might just miss out on an encounter like that. I really wanted to share it to hopefully honer Paolo .

So sorry to hear of his passing. My Dino Spider was the other one you saw that day. I remember seeing you rock up towing a Dino Spider body on a trailer. My Dino was in a row of Ferrari’s that Paulo and his two sons were walking along and they stopped at my car and began discussing it so I stepped forward and asked him if he remembered it. He said he had just told his sons that his mother had had one and drove around with him on the back seat. I then asked if he would mind if I took a picture of him with my car which he graciously did. Like you say - a class act.

That’s a cool story . It’s always great to hear about how these cars were used and enjoyed when they were actually new. I wonder if that car is still out there ? The car on the trailer was Umberto Agnelli,s when it was new . But we didn’t know that back then .

I think I read somewhere that the Dino Spider that Bernard Cahier owned was originally owned by Pininfarina. That car still survives and I’ve seen it.

The FIAT Dino spider is a lovely car and the 308 also. I have one customer who is lucky enough to have both !
