A "mack" could be considered a 'pimp' or a guy that is considered a 'player' meaning he flirts with multiple women. This term has many definitions in slang terminology but in this context I believe the storyteller to be saying that he was once a player with many women who fell for a female that betrayed and broke his heart. After licking his wounds he is back to being a 'player' and 'playing the field' as vengence for her perceived deceit. $.02
