oooh... Hum....... Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay Were laid spread out before me as her body once did All five horizons revolved around her soul as the earth to the sun Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn Um... Hum..., and all I taught her was everything Um... Hum..., I know she gave me all that she wore And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass of what was everything Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything... I take a walk outside, I'm surrounded by some kids at play I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear? and twisted thoughts that spin round my head, I'm spinning, oh... I'm spinning, how quick the sun can drop away And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass of what was everything All the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything... All the love gone bad turned my world to black Tattooed all I see, all that I am, all I'll be... yeah.... Uh huh... uh huh... ooh... I know someday you'll have a beautiful life I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky But why, why, why can't it be, can't it be mine..? Ooh, ooh........ We belong.. together.... We belong.. together.... Yeah..... #Hope u guys enjoying.... 🤘🤘 🤘 Grunge lives forever🤘

I met Morales and his boys when they played in Columbus Ga as Sons of Texas, he and his buddies were so down to earth taking group pics and chillin with us, the drummer even gave me an autographed S. O. T drum stick. This dudes cover and Mortons genius guitar skillz of an already bad ass song is so awesome 👍he's going places, God bless.

Amazing cover. I'm blown away. Made me tear up, practically, because that song, I grew up with it, been listening to it for nearly thirty years and it just makes me happy and emotional to hear it reinterpreted and re-recorded, I love knowing it will continue to live on and be loved by people and be introduced to new ears.

What makes you think there is no auto tune? Or that it's raw? And why is that better? Can't it just be good music without any disclaimers?

@@jesseclaborn749 if you're judging music based on anything but what you hear (and it sounds like you are), I would encourage you to think again about what music is. I can sweep pick, hybrid pick, and alternate pick a lot cleaner than most of these famous musicians. But at the end of the day, none of that matters if the music isn't well composed/orchestrated. And effects such as autotune are part of the orchestration. It is objectively no better or worse than other effects used (compression, reverb, distortion, delay, EQ). Almost every recording you hear has autotune applied to it. It's used very subtly, and only corrects the pitch by a couple of cents at a time, but it's there. Even moreso, when you overuse it like hip-hop artists, you get a unique sound that cannot be mimicked without it. Again, if the song/composition calls for it, there is no substitute for pitch correction software.

Honestly so fucking clean. Like every time I come back to this it gives me actual fucking chills. I've been a big fan of Mark Morton's guitar work for a long time now but after hearing this I did some light research on the vocalist he chose and the dude is from a fairly underground band and I honestly think they're so underrated

To everyone saying that this lacks Eddie's emotion. No shit. This song is something deeply personal to Eddie and only he can truly feel what it means to him. When you cover song, you know it will never be as good as the original. Thats not why you do it. You do it because it touched you in a way that made you feel something and you just want to pay homage in your own little way.
