I worked on the pilot for Franklin and Bash. We were not told that he gets mad about being called mark, but we were told that if we call him Zach we would be thrown off set.

He must be a real sensitive guy. There was a episode of mixed-ish where he picks his daughter up from school and then the bell rings and his character says saved by the bell.
@KrisBryant992 күн бұрын
@cdgates1 he can acknowledge the character here and there because he's known for Zack but at the same time the character is considered very offensive to many and that's why Mark doesn't like to be called Zack.

@@KrisBryant99 he also doesn't like to be called Mark, fyi

@Josh-fh1rm well the whole Mark thing just seems narcissistic because people will slip and call him Mark so you can tell right he's not all the way there 🙄

Man, that was a great interview with MPG (no disrespect intended with the initials, just quicker). He’s so right about the age thing, in regards to Dustin, and himself and the others on “Saved”. Especially when you’re a kid and a teenager; 3 years might as well be 30 years, in regards to how you perceive yourself and perceive others at those ages. And R.I.P. to Dustin Diamond, despite being a known actor, he definitely had his trials. Again, great interview, enjoyed it a ton.

I was never a very major Mark Paul fan b/c I didn't grow up on Saved By The Bell, but I do like him. Any project he is in is better b/c of his hand in it. He was even in a silly horror movie recently called The Portrait and you can tell he took his scenes very seriously. Mark Paul, aces in my book.

Most people probably don't know that he did an action movie in 2016 with Bruce Willis called Precious Cargo, but I still need to watch it. Bruce did Death Wish and Glass after that, but I wonder in hindsight if MP noticed anything off with Bruce. FYI, Mario Lopez just got a Hollywood star for TV. Mark Wahlberg was one of the speakers.

You continue to knock it out of the park with your interviews and this one is no different. I especially liked Mark Paul's attitude about doing 20-something episode seasons. So many actors don't want to do that anymore and I get it. I probably wouldn't want to either if I was an actor, but I understand where he's coming from. He's right, it's more steady work and more money than doing 10 or less episodes a season. I have to respect to his work ethic. As for Sony, they haven't even begun to earn a Sinister Six movie. I think Tom Rothman generally runs Sony better than he ran Fox back in the day, but he's still just as clueless when it comes to Marvel shit. In fact, he's doing worse with the Sony Marvel Universe than he did with the X-Men one. At least most of those movies were good despite the franchise being sloppy as a whole. The first Venom movie is the only good SMU one so far, but I'm hoping the 3rd one and Kraven will change that. Also, I agree that Miles Morales should be the SMU Spider-Man. I don't know why it always has to be Peter Parker. As for Smile 2, I'm sorry you weren't too crazy about it. Then again, you've always said you're not much of a horror fan. Chris Stuckman said it's better than the first one and he's a horror fan, so it depends what you're into, I guess.

The fact he spent a long time talking about going by Mark Paul tells me it does bother him if they call him Mark. What's the big deal, just tell people your name preference. No reason to be a diva about it. Anyway, loved Saved by the Bell growing up. The Zack character was really cool. Never seen any other work of Mark Paul. It did bother me how the cast treated Dustin and excluded him from the Saved by the Bell reboot.
@8thYang21 күн бұрын
I think Dustin Diamond wasn't invited to participate in the SBTB reboot was because he released a book that either had a lot of dirt on the rest of the cast or had things about the cast that weren't true, or something like that. He might have crossed the line with it. I'm not 100% sure, but I feel confident enough to reply with it. Right on.

I personally did not relate to hardly anyone in my senior class. I always hung out with people younger than me as well as freshman. Age was never really thought about with my friends. No one asked how old are you or said I can't hang out with you because you're such and such age. Maybe it was the fact that I was the older cool kid who could drive and had a car that made it more enjoyable to be around younger people. They looked up to me in a way that I didn't have with people my own age. I've started reading Dustin's book for the first time and it seems he was very hurt by the time he spent with his co-workers. The things he stated don't seem all that outrageous for me to believe they may have happened. Especially since these things happen with teens no matter if they are on a show or not. I wasn't there personally to witness what all went on, we just have his perspective, but as someone myself that's been an only child and an introvert I can see how things would have not been so great for him, where as everyone else had a wonderful time. I've been the wallflower at parties or social events where no one wants to be around you. I've even been part of a production that toured the country and always felt out of place like I didn't belong with the group and was just there doing my job and sticking to myself. I could feel that there were people that didn't like me for whatever reasons, maybe because I was socially awkward. But thankfully people were really nice to me with that experience so there is no resentment towards them like Dustin had. I'm sure Dustin's dad's attitude and behavior around the cast didn't help them like Dustin any better.

It's funny talking about names, my first name is Jeffrey. not "ery", but I actually hate that name so friends and family will only call me Jeff. My ex-wife would call me the full name followed by mt middle name which is dangerous for anyone to call me. I had a teacher call me Jeffrey 1 day, 7th grade, and I threw our brand new history book at her head, that was the last time my full name appeared on anything or was said. Even my high school transfer paper said call him Jeff only.

I don’t see the purpose with a Sinister Six film. An argument could be made that they already did the Sinister Six in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Sony needs to stop making shit movies and stick with just Tom Holland Spider-Man movies with Marvel Studios help and Into the Spiderverse animated movies. One day a live action Miles Morales Spider-Man movie would be a good idea after Tom Holland is ready to quit playing Peter Parker. Maybe do the Ultimate Spider-Man storyline where Parker dies and Miles takes over. Way to pass the torch from Holland to whoever is going to be Miles.
