Free throws disparity sucked for sure, but if KY just made their average % from their shots, we still would have won with that disparity. That's the big reason we didn't win. We were like 37% from the field or something like that on 2s, if we were at 47% and a few less turnovers that shouldn't have happened, we would have won.

I’m not saying the reason we lost was foul calls, but if you go back and watch play by play, how many plays did we have that blew up because of a no call foul? It’s hard to finish at the rim when your feet are being taken out from under you or you’re getting slapped in the back. Idk, it was wild to see the way we came out the gate, out hussling and out playing them and then the whistle started. Imagine how frustrating it is to get fouled hard, not get the call, then go down the other end of the court and before all 5 guys are in the half court a fouls called. Maybe I’m biased? But hell even at home against Florida, they shot 11 or 12 more free throws than us in Rupp! I guess it’s always been this way, UK has to just out class and outscore everybody, away or at home.

Can't hold this loss against them, there wasn't anything they could do to win this game because it was obvious from the jump the officials were not gonna let them. The stretch in the first half when UGA went up was totally massaged in by the refs in how they called it. When are people going to wake up and realize that there is some major corruption in SEC officiating, not only basketball, but football as well..

1. We gave up too many offensive rebounds again 2. We passed up at least 5 really good shots at the basket for worse shots or no shot 3. Refs were bad/foul trouble/free throw differential 4. Jaxson was terrible on both ends of the court. And it ain't the first time. 5. We made it way too easy for Georgia to make and catch passes. Waited WAY too late to up the pressure.

@ I agree, he does a good job staying with his defender off ball. But you can’t help but wonder if he would actually do better and feel more comfortable coming off the bench. Could be bad for his confidence or it could help. It could go either way, really. I would feel good about brea in there starting with otega butler and Williams though and having jrob come off bench being the #1 option and an anchor on d with Almonor and Perry and garrison and those guys

Worst officiated game I’ve ever seen in my life. Georgia was allowed to play football and flop under the goal to the win. Those officials were as dirty as I’ve ever seen. My god they slid 10 feet across the floor no call. Cyril trying to I tentionlly break rims no calls. Anyone who didn’t see it go back and watch. This game was clearly fixed.

we made 1 more FG than UGA, they only made one more 3 than we did, but when the other team is shooting 38 FTs to your 19 that is really hard to overcome. esp since we were only "called" for 5 more fouls than them in the box score. if you take away the FT discrepancy, UK leads that game 54-53. this is the second straight game our opponent has more than 35 FT attempts

Jaxson Robsinson needs to be benched for LONG stretches. When he sucks, he REALLY sucks. How about when he was underneath that basket, NO ONE within 5 feet of him, and he PASSED it out for a brick three? WTF?!?! And our bigs are SO timid on the inside. They get DEEP post up position with the ball, and instead of going up and getting the foul and one, they look scared and either turn it over or manage to pass it back out. Carr was another no show. You can tell if we are going to win or lose by watching how Robinson and Carr are playing in the first five minutes. Timid and scared = loss

I think the post play was an experiment for the bigs to find open 3 point shooters, it’s just not how they’re designed to play tho, you have to develop a player like BG for a couple of years to get a big that can no look pass to an open corner or wing 3. No big deal, it didn’t work out, we have to win the way these boys know how, it’s not time to reinvent the wheel with seniors that play the way they play. I knew this game was doomed when Williams got shoved when he shot that hook shot that missed in the first few minutes of the game, easy foul call for a 1-1, he was in the air shooting and got shoved out of the way causing him to miss the hook, after that it was a free for all on our bigs and littles, every play there were multiple no call fouls only to see GA shoot free throws on the other end and UK bigs fouled out or called for a flop flagrant. Lesson learned.

One the wildest performances by a set of refs I’ve seen in a long time. They weren’t even making it believable at the end, GA gets over the half court line, flagrant foul, ball gets near the basket and a 1-1. It’s like that Duke whistle has followed this team since that win, I think it was that UK fan that called out the Duke whistle at halftime when we beat Duke that’s caused these crazy flop calls and all the 3 point flop calls against us.

Guys our problem is that we don’t have any big strong guys in the paint’ Williams and Carr get pushed out of position ‘ every time Carr try’s to put up a shot under the basket he falls down like someone broke both his legs. We are just not tough enough this year. Maybe Pipe can get a couple guys out of the portal next year but we are going to have to live with the guys we have now. I still like Pope a hell of a lot better than Cal😂

Yes we didn’t have the best shooting and we didn’t have the best defense but when you see the flops and the refs, calling fouls and giving free throws for those flops, that’s outrageous. I do agree with most people's opinions here but one thing that stood out to me is when we would take an outside shot when the camera moved towards the basket there were 4 GA. players and maybe one Ky player can't win hoops in the paint if your not there to rebound need to quit watching the shot and move in after it

The rythem was not normal for this team in my opinion. The were not taking the 3's early and them bulldogs played super slow. I have no doubts we will beat them in Rupp. However its a loss in league play which is tough. Our guys need to be ready from the jump. Maybe the travel fatigued there start. I suggest leaving about 4 hours earlier and making sure the team gets a chance to warm up well. Just my 2 cents. travel takes energy away from the body. So the more time the players have to get ready for a road game at the location the better.

This game wasn't even enjoyable to watch. It wasn't because of our players either. The refs were playing that game more than anyone. 44 plus fouls for the entire game was insane. The fact that other games were halfway through their first half or completely finished when they started at the same time or well after ours was ridiculous. Let kids play. Everything they did was a "clean block". Everything we did was a shooting foul. I like Pope’s philosophy and his system and style of play. But I don’t think he’s putting individuals in the best position to succeed because he’s making everyone only play one position on the court. I think he needs to let guys shift positions. IE If our center subs put in Brea and let Carr play 5 and Robinson play 4. This would give Brea more minutes and Robinson in better match ups allowing him to get his offense going. But he continues to restrict guys to one position and subs that ways as well.

Kentucky 3 losses...3 teams who physically bullied and over powered the Cats. Georgia simply made the game sloppy. Flopping on fouls, grabbing and pulling away from the ball, frustrating the Cats into silly fouls, getting them out of their comfort zones and away from their own game plan. The refs are showing us that this year they will be calling tick, tack fouls on the Cats this year. Notice in both the Florida and Georgia games, the refs blew their whistles after the shot hit the rim, as if they're waiting to see if the ball was going in first. Coach Pope has to warn the players of the games these teams are playing. Great strategy by the Georgia coaching staff. Yea the refs were among the most biased I have seen in many years but there isn't much good to find from Kentucky in this game. They have a seemingly big problem of only playing really well against really good teams. If they don't figure this out they could very easily be another UK team that loses in round 1 or 2.

Ky a MUCH better team than Georgia...Ky played SUPER tight the whole game. Someone has to fix Amari Williams he looked like a player who's lost his confidence all night, even during dead balls. He is one of the best athletes on the floor, play BIG young man!!!! Carr also had rough a outing and looked like he does not know what winning basketball looks like.....capable of much better just need to take it on the road guys. Ohweh and Butler tried to do it all and came close. Yeah, the Refs were bad and seemingly biased at times but Ky made a bunch of brainless fouls. Had a backcourt foul and several pushing and hand fighting fouls. Just making it difficult to win with unnecessary fouls. Keep playing getting open shots and rely on your shooting...play WINNING basketball!!!

The main problem with both basketball and football is the officiating and UK is no stranger to bad officiating..Kentucky has been screwed out of at least 4 NCAA titles by the referees with the other team shooting at least twice the number of free throws as UK.. Can anyone name those games and years played?. I will name at least four games starting with Texas Western and the 1966 Title game won by Texas Western 72-65 that shot 34 free throws to UK's 13 . UK verses North Carolina 1977 a year in which UK had the best team in the nation and lost in the elite 8 79-72 when North Carolina shot a whopping 36 free throws to UK's 18. And the last two 1997 loss to Arizona in overtime the championship game where Arizona outscored UK 34-9 at the free throw line. The last game was John Calipari's undefeated team in 2015 that lost 71-64 to Wisconsin in the final 4 in a game full of bad calls with Wisconsin shooting 22 free throws to UK's 10.
