@@MultiKarolaWhen she interviewed the Belfast cast she didn’t do her homework. She was recently aware that Jamie Dornan’s father had recently passed to she asked Jamie how his mother liked the film. Sadly Jamie’s mother died when he was a very young 16. I wasn’t impressed.

This is the type of film you’d come across for the first time on a television set. I watched it in the cinema, and the impact was everything. It was a necessary viewing experience, and I was enthralled from start to finish.

This is the second time I have seen this interviewer in action. She is so articulate and gets right to the meat of the process, or feeling in the scene. Her wonderful questions and background in cinema makes these interviews something really special! I subscribed. Tom McCarthy is a great director too!

I grew up in Boston and everyone knew about some of the abuse but finally Phil has a voice and you broke open a box of sexual abuse long time. I am now looking for a Latin mass and am going to question the priest before I go to church. I went to Catholic Schools for 12 years and got an amazing education. I am lost now and can't go back. Pray for me.

The music in the movie is "spot" on where placed in the scenes. It added to the emotion of the whole thing.

Unfortunate that Liev Schreiber wasn't present in this discussion. His commanding yet exceedingly understated portrayal of Marty Baron was as much a symbolic masthead of this cast, as the real-life Baron was of the reporters who reported to him. Moreover, Schreiber, apparently, is a news hound (perhaps not unlike Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo), and tremendously admires Baron. And Schreiber, as with Keaton, has also had at least one role as a heavy-duty journalist. Plus, Schreiber perhaps inarguably has the most, and most in-depth, experience on the live stage, tracing back to his time at Yale and in his classical education at RADA. Steeped as an actor in the works of Shakespeare, and with such distinction, he has continued to keep one foot firmly and nimbly on the live stage, in an enviably diverse array of roles and plays, in between his screen work. An actor who, above all, serves the text. And what a text Josh Singer and Tom McCarthy equipped the actors with. Schreiber's also a gifted and accomplished screen director (look it up). All that, and his keenly articulate intelligence, would have added much to the discussion with his fellow actors and director and co-writer McCarthy. Schreiber's absence among them is definitely felt. For all her knowledge of cinema, and in her preparedness as a moderator, what a shame that Ms. Insdorf failed to mention Schreiber even once.

She isn’t always prepared. She dropped the ball while interviewing the Belfast cast by asking Jamie Dornan how his mother liked the movie after realizing his father died before seeing the film. You could have heard a pin drop as Jamie explained that his mother died when he was 16. Very hurtful.

It's interesting the similarities between actors and journalists. Both of them are looking to discover and explore a story. Also, Tom McCarthy is great. He has a way of bringing an involving tone to the screen that I really enjoy. Check out The Station Agent with Peter Dinklage.

There was a situation where by an alter boy in the 50's brought the church To court for child abuse. Im not going into any details but he won his case. I also found out that my father as an alter boy was also involved in these abuses. But he was passed away already, They were about the same age at the time.

Another example of actors being elevated to a height they don't belong. They're actors, OK! They are TOLD what to say in these movies. The only one with smarts MIGHT be Tucci.
