Not at upwards of €10.000,-. New frame compared to my Chinese Miracle frame build (total cost €1.175,-), is in the region of 10 Watts. At the speeds I’m travelling that’s no more than 20-40 seconds over 40km, Olympic distance I’m doing this year. I’d rather save up for an extra car/holidays/training camp with the family in the tropics, etc.

When you depress the hydration valve with the bottle nozzle to open it, doesn’t it push the bottle nozzle closed?
@MaartenAnna3 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing
@techfin61453 жыл бұрын
by the looks of it, The part that is depressing is a little ridge that will go around the nozzle therefore keeping it open :)
@markthrelfall35773 жыл бұрын
The bit that you push down actually protrudes around the side of the nozzle. So the nozzle itself doesn’t actually touch anything. It’s actually the cap that makes contact

@@markthrelfall3577 I guess for viewers it would be good to do it more as a review rather than an advert... Is it worth the insane pricing customers have to pay? Is it worth the wait that customers will have to wait to get one? 6+ months Can we the buyers pay these large amounts without never even seeing one? It would be nice to come more from the customers/buyers perspective rather than the businesses/canyons/sellers perspective

@@michaelkennedy9064 Is it worth to buy a Mercedes Benz or a Jaguar? Shouldn’t we all drive a Dacia? Those questions are (sorry) stupid. Canyon needed 3 years to invent tis bike and it is game changing as the other speedmax were in the past. This is not a bike for everybody and canyon does surely not expect to sell millions of them. Somehow the costs have to be returned and this happens within the price. However it would be great to see a full review of the bike.

Speedplays Zeros are so much better you won’t look back. The positive lock they have on the shoe allows you to pull up with much more power than the Looks and they don’t accidentally disengage as easily due to cleat wear. Also cleat wear doesn’t really effect their consistency and float. I have them on all my bikes.

Cleaning the hydration pack is going to be a tedious process. If it isn't rinsed out well enough, you'll surely have something nasty growing inside. Let's not kid ourselves, no triathlete is going to put just water in it like recommended by Canyon. They should have incorporated a hatch like what is on some Nathan hydration packs where it provides a good seal during normal use, but allows it to be flayed out for cleaning after a ride with product mixed in. Also curious why the Di2 model isn't being offered in the United States, only the SRAM model. I've never ridden SRAM before, so I googled it. Not going to lie, Mollema has me a bit worried about it's reliability. Can't wait to drop an order in though once Canyon's supply chain catches up!

Dear GTN, please can you show us how to fit the hydration pack? Canyon’s video on the subject misses out the key step of fitting the hydration pack into the spacer that comes with the bike by default. The hydration packs also don’t include detailed instructions. This is disappointing for a very expensive bike. As someone who has recently bought one this has left a nasty taste in my mouth and is unfortunately typical of the Canyon experience - good products, lousy customer service.
