The inner ring that presses the seal in is 70mm, outer ring that rests on the block is 110mm. 👌👍.

Mark a thought could you have fitted a six speed to save fuel or would you then need a new ratio back axel ?

No, you're best to change the rear axle rather than the gearbox ( I think, from looking into it in the past, the 6sp box is actually longer, so the prop shaft will need replacing too) as there's no real gains swapping the box, bud 😉👌👍....

Cheers, mate. Mine has always been bad on fuel, around 23 mpg ( mixture of town and motorway)...

Similar process, yes. But I believe on the earlier models with the 6sp box came with a mechanical clutch. 👌👍.

Yours must be like mine, then. A kind of a face lift model where they moved the fuel tank onto the drivers side.
