I followed this tutorial back when I was 10yrs old, I loved the results that I still look at the drawing now and wonder how I did it. Now, 3 years later, I picked up the drawing and decided to do it again. Even I can say that I improved a lot in my art skills during the past 3 years. So I did it again. Even happier with the results than I was last time. Still not even close to being perfect but I'm hoping over the years and practice in the future I will be able to accomplish being able to draw this properly. This video helped me a lot when I had lost all hope of becoming an artist, i thought i was a failure and that i wouldn't get anywhere in life cus i had no talents and that the one thing i actually loved, I was terrible at. But watching ur video made me realize what te phrase "practice makes perfect" actually means and I dont know how much i can thank u for that. Ur tutorials r rlly something else and I hope u continue to post videos like these cus they truly help people like me to accomplish things they couldn't even imagine of doing so, thank you. I know this may seem dramatic and cheesy and stuff but I mean......... I dont even know I just.... dont know SHUKRAN (thank u in Arabic)

You are the only one in the youtube who explains things perfectly and step by step , unlike the others who do time laps and record their voice , that is why people started making memes about those who do art tutorial xd

I understand your views on not explaining your tools but I don't agree. (Good thing it's not my video, right?) I feel that it can only benifit people be ause then they can make a more educated choice when purchasing their own tools. As an artist I have a hard time believing that you don't know what number that H Prismacolor graphite pencil is. The people that watch your videos are surely bright enough to know thaat any pencil mark will look different depending on what surface you use & by the amount of pressure you use. It will also look different viewed off video. You are a fantastic artist, don't "dumb it down" for the people who admire your work, also if you read the comments about every fourth one is a request to tell which pencil you are using. If you think that your fans do not understand the breakdown of "art store" pencils make a video explaining them. A student will get a ton more frustrated if they are trying to get the look that you are showing with printer paper & a school pencil. They are so much more likely to give up without this knowledge than with it. Great job on the books and thank you tons for all the help you give all the future artist!!!

+bellesmom2012 I think the same here,. I was close to asking which number the darker graphite pencil was, but I guess Im gonna find that by myself. ( Im gussing it might be 8B or 9B Grapite Pencil).

+bellesmom2012 Because the tools don't matter, like at all...Any pencil will work, tools dont help you draw well

I was just thinking about how artists always draw better because they use professional pencils but then I saw he was using a regular pencil and I got happy because all the tutorials I see they use a expensive pencil I don't have. He proved to me anyone can draw with just an ordinary pencil😌.

+Dayjeunay Alexander-Robinson OMG! You're right lol. I was grumpy & I do get frustrated with tutorials where the artist glosses over that. Anyone that thinks a regular #2 school pencil on printer paper will give the same result as a couple of "art store" pencils on let's say Arches hot press watercolor paper has not tried it for themselves. The right "tools" in any job make for a better result. Try it and I think you will like what you draw a ton better. Sorry to sound like a know it all though, he (this artist) is tons better than I will ever be & he is a great educator as well.

What I hate is when you have the perfect darkness to your shading, then you step away from the drawing, and when you come back to it, your shading is either too dark or too light.
@kiwifruit652410 жыл бұрын
Honestly if you just take a pencil and some scrap paper and practice shading it becomes much easier and over time you can start to draw stuff like the lips in the video but this drawing is actually quite advanced so i wouldn't suggest starting with this. one way of practicing shading is to draw simple shapes and to choose a point where a light is coming from (ex top right, bottom left, anywhere really) and you would shade it so the shape looks like it has a light shining on it. thats how i started shading :D

I love the video, but i find it a little offensive that you think all girls wear heavy makeup. I can't stand makeup, and most people i know can't either, but besides that i love your video and after some more practice i think it'll help.

+Morgan Mills lol no offense but there is always something offensive to find in a Video. you just draw Girls with Makeup most of the time, idk why. i´m a Girl myself and i never wear Makeup but i draw my Girls with Makeup anyways. i´m not into sixpacks but i draw my guys with sixpacks anyways. so what. it has nothing to so with real life, ist just a drawing.

I know I guess it just went to my head. When he started talking about it i guess something just made me go into offensive mode.
