Just gone Titleist all thru the bag, 718 AP2 are the best irons I have had, including Mizuno MP range.i have never hit the ball better with 3 sub 80 rounds since I got them 6 rounds ago. I will never go away from Titleist now. I found the fitting experience the best ever.

This has kind of a JPX 900 tour look in the back. That power frame look. Good looking iron. It has been good for years. There is only so much you can do with a already high quality product.

What would you guys say about the idea that we look for too much spin from our irons? The idea that 6-7000rpm from a 6 iron should be more "tour conditions". Playing in the UK in cooler conditions would we not benefit more from a little less spin and a bit more distance with each iron? Genuinely interested to hear your ideas on this or a vid talking about spin rates for different swing speeds, conditions etc.

What I'm curious about is, now that these clubs set up almost identical, did the cb/mb lose some workability/gameability of a players iron or did the AP2 lose some foregiveability and chunkiness.

They look great - I'm booking a fitting session to test them all and then decide - I'm swaying towards T100s but will have to wait and see - can't wait!! Great inside knowledge and opinions guys - very useful and interesting Mark has been gaming the T100s and used them in Grand Canaria!

Mark with all the talk about offset it would be nice if you could find out and publish the offset data for the new irons since Titleist decided to scrub their website of all offset data for the new irons. Keep up the good work.

Awesome review guys, Dan we met at Gran Canaria ( Real Club de golf of Las Palmas) I'm the guy working at the pro-shop. We had a very interesting conversation about our 718cb´s. As far as I understand the new ones are pretty similar to the old 718 cb´s. Just waiting to finish August to order my new 620cb´s irons. Only a question: do the new ones has a lower peak high in comparison to the old ones or they have the same ball flight? Thank you very much Dan and Mark. Nice video and a very helpful review.

Hi mark Just wondering, is there a case for cheaper golf balls e.g velocity, actually going further than the likes of the prov1 for some golfers. I have a high club speed and sometimes tend to see my drives with a high “balloon” like flight - so would switching to a cheaper, harder, overall lower spinning ball help improve my game particularly my drives in gaining more distance?

I can understand why you would blend a set of clubs...but why not try and find a complete set that you can game from the top to the bottom..? I game mizuno jpx 919 forged 4 thru gap wedge and i took the gap wedge out but thats because im not a fan of the shape and i game a 52* wedge

But can you blend the T series. T100/200 lofts are completely out of whack.. Going from 7 iron T200 to 8 iron T100 that's 8 degrees apart. Yes you can bend them but thats quite a bit of bending in both sets for bounce to start getting adjusted.

Yup- its all very close these days. I tested these, and some blades, and other CB- they all performed the same really. Buy what look you like.

Probably one of the best blending family of irons I have seen from any company. AP2T100 is probably a bit long of a name for a club but I like it.

White Dice use any clubs you want. Just don’t expect great results using non game improvement irons. At a 21 hdcp you be better served getting some lessons

Sadly Titleist didn't maintain the stunning looks of the old 718-CB :-( That said, I doubt anybody can now tell the difference between the CB and the MB, which raises the question of why have both?

Haven't had a Titleist iron set in 20 years, looks like I'll make it another 2. Hope they've got in more options in custom than in years past at no up-charge, nothing like seeing a company charge two hundred dollars more for the same shaft ( KBS Tour a few years ago if you were wondering-not exactly brand new) as another company has "in stock", no up-charge AND they are already more expensive to begin with. They make wonderful equipment and I'm sure these will be great clubs for many. At least Dan has a few more toys to tinker with!

think your reviews would be enhanced by referencing dispersion results. isn’t the point of irons to get the highest percentage of shots closest to the target. Sir Nick thinks so. Believe it would alleviate so many of your reviews sounding so similar, which in turn, hurts your viewership

gh hj or the reviews where Mark consistently says Ping make some of the best clubs on the market, admires how they care very little about market trends and their PR is not all fluff, bells and whistles. Mark constantly says he loves ping, their reps and the company in general. It’s all there in previous review vids. You should try and watch them.
