Hi Mark, I'm so so glad I found you! You had me at ''if you are OCD about organization like I am''' lol. And I just liked it when you said in another video that before posting anything, we should walk away from our screen until the next day. I always thought that as well, it's great to hear someone else say it. Keep up the good work! I'm learning so much :)

Here's another good one for you and your viewers: To close a single panel and increase the size of your image work area, use function keys F5 through F8 to toggle them on or off. F5 for the top panel and F6 for the bottom; F7 for the left panel and F8 for the right. You can also use Shift+Tab to toggle all panels on or off, or to open them all after you've used function keys to close some of them. I frequently use the function keys to close top, bottom, and left panels so I have a larger image to edit using only the right panel, but I do use F7 frequently to temporarily open the left panel to access history or presets. One more: Use the apostrophe (') to invert a local filter. For example, in Lr CC Classic, the radial filter used to default to adjust everything outside the circle, so I always had to invert it by either finding the little checkbox or... hitting the apostrophe on the keyboard. In the latest update, the rad filter defaults to inverted each time I use it, but it's still a handy tip. Can you stand one more? I saved the best for last, honestly! Are you tired of clicking on the enlarge ratio on the left of the top panel then clicking on your image just to take a quick peek at something? Try this instead: Position your cursor over the area you want to see larger, hold down the left mouse button, and pull. Keep holding down the mouse button and you can drag the image around a bit, and when you release the mouse button the image returns to normal size. But wait, there's more! You can hold and drag as described, but release the mouse button immediately after dragging and the image will stay HUGE until you click on it to return it to normal. While enlarged, you can drag it around as usual to inspect different areas. Thanks for another great video, Mark. I pride myself in knowing many shortcuts, but I didn't know survey mode or the shortcut for rotating the crop overlay -- and it's frustratingly difficult to rotate it by dragging a corner! Actually, I didn't know about changing the color of the local adjustments area either, but that has rare utility, I think.

Thanks for a valuable video! I have some advice on your video (that also applies to some of your other ones). Everything is perfect except for one thing: it takes too long to get to what is valuable to me. The part I’m interested in starts two and a half minutes in. I think your preamble could be ten seconds at most. From there on, everything is perfect; everything you say is meaningful, valuable and directly related to what I want to know. The drawn-out preamble is the ONLY flaw. I can’t stress enough how perfect everything else is. You’re one of my go-to guys for info on photography.

Thank you for the information, really helpful. Regarding the L or F button to remove distractions I have heard from another channel that is better to have a white background instead of black in order to understand the real exposure of your image in case you want to print it. I have found that my images tend to be darker printed than on screen so using a white background really helps. Having said that I think your videos are amazing and you need to upload more of these (or I need :P)

Ooooh, that solo mode thing is sweet! I also am quite irritated by having all the tools open, not that much because of OCD but because the scroll bar is tiny and it's annoying to constantly going up and down during edits. I guess my workflow is shit, i should not have to come back up if i did perfect work, but i find myself constantly going over settings, changing and trying stuff so having everything open is unconformable. Thanks for sharing this! :D
