Story 2- What stuck out to me is “She’s not going to pursue child support.” In America, if you pursue child support, the courts must establish paternity which means she has to get a paternity test done or the father must sign a legal document stating they forgo the tests and are claiming parentage. Thus, their is definitely someone else that she slept with!

I think this differs from state to state. In my state for example, there are ways around a paternity test. One example is if there is a restraining order in place on the supposed father. I mean seriously, a woman just has to identify a man as the father. Family services then relays that information to Child Services who will be the ones to initiate the court hearing for child support on the father. It is up to the man believed to be the father to demand a paternity test which the court may or may not grant. Further, there is Bill in Congress right now called the "Unborn Child Support Act". S.4512. It has two provisions people should be paying attention to. “(E) any measure to establish the paternity of a child (born or unborn) shall not be required without the consent of the mother; and “(F) any measure to establish the paternity of an unborn child shall not be taken if the measure poses any risk of harm to the child if unborn.” So all the Mom has to do is not consent to the Paternity test to squash it in court. The supposed father would have to go behind the mother's back to get it done and then have the results submitted to the court. So that goes back to my previous statement about the restraining order on the father. All the Mom has to do is get the restraining order, keep it active, and the father would never get anything other than supervised visits where the paternity test would not be allowed to be given.

It’s okay if it’s only like that, sadly it become much worse as my sister keep treating others specially his other siblings as trash. This is even aggrevated by how she treat employees at the family business. Even now me and my other sibling are telling our parents it will ruin our family, as she keep us wanting to fight each others by spreading rumors. @@Barlmoro I don't think OP could. My understanding of what a Hostile Takeover is that the non-majority partners band together to out vote the majority partner and boot them. So for a Hostile Take over to take place, OP would already need an ownership stake in the business. If he did have an ownership stake, it would have negated the other issues from ever happening (they wouldn't have been able to demote him and steal 20% of his pay without his approval if he had an ownership stake) But, as the saying goes... daddy dearest and his golden baby boi fucked around and found out. @@Original_Tenshi_Chan a other way of a hostile takeover would be to buy the debts. It is a bit more complicatet but i try to make it in a simple way: if it goes furter the way it start now the will have debts with some other firms like banks or material seller etc. at this point he can buy from this bussines the rights on the debts. this means you give the money to the original person and then the busines from daddy must pay him the debts. if he gets enough of them he can tell his dearest brother: you own me debts in high of X pay me out or i let your firm get liquidatet. this would be the brankrupcy of the bussines and he can tell the person who deal with the liquidation : he check how much worth the bussines has in total and i take it as a hole and pay out the rest. you see this practice not often cose it is risky and time consuming but it can work. a old boss of me did it with the brothers bussines cose he wanntet the name of the bussines and some of the patents.

@@Rose-yt5hi Technically, he doesn't even know if the other guy isn't. The only facts OP and Derek can be certain of are; 1. Nicole has cheated multiple times, and that is only what she admitted to. Who knows how long this has been going on or with how many. 2. Nicole is happy and eager to con multiple men into paternity fraud (her sister's ex, and at the very least, Derek too) 3. Nicole LOVES lying and seems to be pretty proficient at it. and 4. She is panicked about Derek taking the DNA test. From those facts, we can reasonably assume; 1. The other guy (the one she has admitted to cheating with) wasn't tested and/or 2. There are more than 1 other possible fathers. and 3. She is reasonably sure Derek is NOT the father. If she had even a small amount of confidence Derek could be the father, I think she would take the test. She sounds manipulative as hell, she knows Derek is easy to manipulate. But then claims to have already done a DNA test with the other guy and it came back negative. So what happened to her fear of needles then? And where are the results of said DNA test? I don't believe her for one millisecond. She's lied repeatedly, and been caught doing it, and admitted to doing it, so I'm supposed to believe this one thing she said is the truth? Derek needs a DNA test first and foremost, no ifs and or buts, before he makes any further decisions. Or that, leaving works too. First story always amazes me about the lack of thought the Dad had, the Hubris the brother was showing, and the sheer audacity to think that someone would stick around for that. It takes a special kind to think someone would stick around for that abuse. Wonder what Dad is going to do once the business is run into the ground. I think OP in story one should set out to destroy his father's company, bring them to the point of bankruptcy and then buy the company through a lawyer. So when he walks in, he can show that he is now their boss. Tell his brother to get out of his office because he needs to talk to Dad. Break down the fact that they were about to go out of business and the only person willing to save them was OP. He still cares about his family and this company, but he couldn't sit and watch his gobshite of a brother destroy everything he worked to build. If Dad wants to prove how sorry he really is, he'll fire his brother and cut him off. He's fired for cause because he's the one who tanked the company that Dad and OP built up. And then OP sets to merge his company into his Dad's company. After which, he'll make his Dad retire with a generous pay out. During this time, OP sees if he can mend his relationship with his parents, if they still treat him like nothing, forget the generous payout, fire the bastard and remove any trace of his name from the company.

For story 2 - for Nicole to say that they did a test on the other guy on the side and he's not the father... Story 1: This isn’t an accountant problem. All accountants I‘ve ever met were well aware that a 20k pay cut tends to have consequences. Otherwise they wouldn’t approve higher salaries to begin with, would they? And they were perfectly capable of reverting a business decision that has proven to do harm. Doubling down regardless and expecting OP to set himself on fire to keep the business warm, that isn’t something that businesspeople do, that’s what toxic people do. And that’s why the ‚but family‘ argument won’t work. The family dynamics is the root cause of the problem.
