If I thought one of my kids married someone I believed was taking advantage of them, the LAST thing I would do would be abandon my child. I would make sure our relationship was tight just in case I was right about their partner.

OP with the crazy first date handled that perfectly in my opinion. They got ganged up on like getting surrounded by a pack of wolves or some shit. It's a first date. That'd freak me the fuck out. I'd have ran for the hills. Plus, that being their family dynamic to someone they don't even know is super concerning because once they grow closer and maybe have a normal relationship struggle, to what degree of interrogation etc is the family going to intervene? Nope. Nope.

I completely agree with you. Quite a few people said he may have gone a bit overboard, or shared those things in private with her, but I disagree. It was just her that was the issue, it was the entire family acting like they had been dating for a few months. That was insane.

I think they were just playing around. Some folks are like that. I do not remember OP stating once that their joking made him uncomfortable. Huge red flag on his part. Maybe OP has social anxiety. If so, he needs meds. If so, he needs to always be on the end of a bench as to not get trapped. All his statements about not being able to shut are queues on SA. He was uncomfortable with the people, they started joking, he got more uncomfortable, I am guessing with the people on both sides and the talking he just freaked out. He needs to call and apologize to the girl. Some families like to embarrass siblings and adult children. Siblings like to embarrass siblings. As someone with SA, I know how he feels. I started to get help five years ago. After we figured out what was wrong, I finally understood the "Why's" in my life and how to deal with them.

@@ilbercgross4736 respectfully, their whole family dynamic with a first date being dragged there with no warning is not normal. He tried to express himself in a way where he wouldn’t insult anyone, but the vast majority of people would be wilded out and ghost in this scenario. I personally would probably have just walked out without saying anything when the dad demanded a response seriously. He doesn’t owe a bunch of strangers anything even if he DID initially have great first date chemistry with her. The fact that she dragged him into this without asking him if he’d be comfortable with meeting a huge amount of her relatives all of a sudden is massively disrespectful on her part.

He could have handled that so much better. He sounds like an entitled spoiled child. “ I was robbed “ please. How bout this. Well sir I think your daughter is a wonder person, full of energy as well surprises, but we have only touched the surface of getting to know each other, but things are going good and I hope to have a better answer in the future. Everybody is semi happy. When the night is over and I’m alone with her she better explain herself damn well ( as I don’t want to kick her to the curb till then, which I’m sure I gonna do anyway ). I’m a man not a child so I don’t throw tantrums when I feel uncomfortable and manipulated. This come later after I calm down. @@kirksnowden8023 But he did not have the opportunity to collect his thoughts and give an eloquent reaction. And why should he suffer through an entire evening just to wait to speak to her when the night was over? No, he does not need to throw himself on that sword. He was blindsided. I disagree that he sounded like an entitled spoiled child; he went out for a quiet, pleasant evening and basically got tossed into coliseum with a pack of hungry lions without warning. They came at him, non stop, from the moment he got there. He was clearly reeling from their audacity, and he was trying to get himself out of the room to speak to her, but she pushed back and told him to speak in front of her family. The grandparents probably wanted to literally "see" the grandchildren to see how black they were. They apparently wanted to know whether any of them were "white" enough to accept, and they must have hoped that it would be the little girl. A second chance to have a replacement kid to fill in for the daughter who died. OP doesn't bring up the religion issue, but I'll bet that's also a consideration. If you ever suspect people of being "racist" or bigoted, get them mad at you LOL. I don't mean just regular mad, get them so they are completely infuriated with you. At that point, nearly all of them will devolve into and use the racist language that sits in their minds. Being 2/3 of American Indian (Ojibwe) heritage and 1/3 European White heritage, I have used this technique plenty of times to "out" racists and bigots. It works even better if you are 100% in the right while debating with them and have facts to back it up that you can visually show them. I did this quite often during the 2016 Presidental Election when I would debate with people on the candidate they supported. I was an Independent voter and hadn't made up my mind yet on who to vote for so I would debate with both Hillary and Trump supporters as to why I should vote for the candidate they supported. It was a very eye-opening experience and basically reinforced something I sadly knew to be true several years prior to 2016 about WHO the racist people really are. I found that when one group of people who supported one of the candidates was questioned extensively and if I corrected them on facts they had wrong, they would become so angry with me that they would insult me and walk away. It wasn't just ANY insult, it usually had to do with my Ojibwe heritage and the color of my skin. Probably the worst and most racist comment said to me was a white woman calling me a "Reservation N*gger". Once that remark came out of her mouth, SHE KNEW SHE F*CKED UP. Before literally running away from all of us that were sitting at this table, she proceeded to BLAME ME for making her so upset that she HAD TO call me that. This woman was a friend of a friend who I had seen often enough to know her name, job, where she lived, her family, etc. but she wasn't what I would call a friend or even an acquaintance. Then after she got up and literally ran out of the restaurant, a few other people actually stood up for her and told me that as an American Indian, I should ALWAYS be in support of Democrats and never question them because Trump is Racist!!!! HUH???? I just told them that Trump never called me a Reservation N*gger but that woman did and these people were supporting her claims it was my fault I was called that LOLOLOL.

@@fred_derf It was high school marketing. His name was Mr. Dougherty. I might have the spelling of his name wrong. We were his first school & year teaching after he graduated from college/uni. We had to give word for word answers (definitions) in a complete sentence, for whatever words he gave us & would put on the tests. IE “What is a bear market?” “A bear market is….” “What caused the stock market to crash in the year 1929? What is the day famously known as? “The stock market crash on Thursday, October 29, 1929 because ….” “Thursday, October 29, 1929 is often referred to as Black Thursday” He often boasted that he could write a true or false question that no one could answer because it would be worded so ambiguously. If you did not have your full name, correct date (had to be written out) & class period on the upper right hand corner of any test or paper he would flunk you. He never gave multiple choice questions. I had a marketing professor in college who gave us an automatic 3 points if we had our correct, name & date on the upper LEFT. He would occasionally try to be funny by throwing in a “freebie” type question. One December test question was something along the lines of “Name the man who dresses in red & rides in a sleigh pulled by eight flying reindeer” All his questions had to be answered in a complete sentence.

I think there's more to this story that OP is leaving out, though not on purpose... POC kids who have been adopted into or even born into predominantly Yt families don't always get their cultural needs met, & that can have an unhealthy impact on them, like the adopted sister in this case. Some Bi-racial🟤 kids who were born to a ⚪ parent have spoken of their experiences when their mom⚪ or dad⚪ eventually met & then married⚪⚪ a person of their own race, then had⚪⚪ babies who look like both parent & step-parent, & they move their blended family⚪⚪⚪⚪🟤 to a predominantly ⚪area with little to no diversity. (Think of what it would mean for a little girl who's only lived with her dad & her 6 older brothers... She will likely crave the companionship, the knowledge & the understanding of another female, & this need would amplify once she started her cycle & hit puberty. Her dad may be empathetic to her needs, but he could never fully articulate the intricacies of womanhood for her like one who's living it.) Some kids report noticing differences about themselves from the rest of their predominantly ⚪ families, such as complexion, hair colors & textures, phenotypes, etc. They may also face issues from others in their community, from the innocent questions coming from their peers like, "How come you're the only different person in your family?⚪⚪⚪⚪🟤", to much harsher reactions as they age. Without being connected to a diverse support system which includes people who look like them🧑🏻‍🦳👩🏾‍🦱🙎🏼‍♀️👨🏻🧑🏼👩🏽🧔🏿‍♂️👴👦🏿, who knows how to navigate their experiences, & who can at least help the kid to know that their 'differences' don't make them 'less than' & there's nothing to be ashamed of, then they may begin to internalize some self-hatred & resentment for those around them who don't have the same issues, aka their ⚪family & peers. Sometimes, POC kids have reported talking to their ⚪families about their feelings, but not always having their concerns addressed properly because they simply aren't always equipped to do so. But some ⚪ parents of POC kids have addressed this head on by moving to a diverse area from the start & making sure their POC kid has people like them in their support network, etc. I don't think the adopted daughter has been brainwashed by anyone, I think she has been bottling up the frustration of being 'othered' while her 'loving' adoptive family failed to address how it was affecting her & she grew resentful of them for not acknowledging her pain or her experiences. I think her bio-family were convenient scapegoats for her to finally gain the courage to express her frustrations at her adoptive family (whether or not they truly deserved it, we'll never know without hearing all sides, not just OP's). And TBH, OP sounds pretty oblivious to what her sister went through over the years & doesn't understand why it seems like her sister flipped on a dime.

This depends where you live and various other circumstances. If the house was purchased while they were in a common law relationship, in some countries, the same laws that apply to married couples applies to defacto relationships also. Marriage also doesn’t protect the spouses living arrangements either, if there’s no will, it doesn’t automatically go to the spouse or the kids in some countries.

On the "meet all the family on the first date" story: My first date with my partner of 5 years now was only after months of flirting & dates that were postponed because of my work being crazy busy & his grandmother passing away. Our actually first date was our D&D group (how we met) all said they were going to the Canada day fireworks & then only the 2 of us showed up 😂 Anyway, the next day, I'm playing D&D with a different group during a live stream, when I get a text along the lines of "don't freak out but my foot was crushed by an idiot new guy on equipment he was not supposed to be using" & promptly not only met his family the day after that, but he only told his mom about me literally as I was walking around the corner of the hallway. The day after that (he was not able to have surgery right away so was sent home for a couple of days) his mom picked me up to drive me the 40 ish minutes to the lac, where he was staying with his other grandparents so they could help him because he was supposed to be moving that week. It was wild, not nearly the very purposefully set up of this story, but still meets everyone fast. Luckily they all liked me 😂

As someone who’s on the spectrum, I’m talking to my boyfriend about getting a special necklace or earring thing when we get engaged because rings kind of freak me out when I wear them. I’m currently looking into getting rings to try wearing that can have a part cut out of them because I’m also very scared of getting a ring stuck on one of my fingers, so that silicone band or whatever might also be a wise idea lol 2:13:04

I’m on the spectrum too and I have a few rings that I take on and off when I’m overwhelmed with it! I recommend a silicone ring like the grove ring (I think it’s called that) it’s thin and I’ve grown used to playing with it . I also have some stimulating rings like fidget rings as I can take it off and have a covert way to keep my anxiety down. I also have a watch I wear that has my wedding date engraved as well as my wife’s name!

Yeah, those parents are definitely racist. They didn't apologize for saying it. They didn't try to make amends. They said "We wouldn't say it in front of the kids" which means they WOULD say it when the kids are not around. Seriously, when people are this specific of "I wouldn't do this thing if 'blank' is around" or "I wouldn't have said/done this if I knew you were 'blank' " It means that the person is not sorry they did something wrong. It means that they would absolutely still do it, just under different conditions that won't hurt them. That's a big red flag there.

For the 1st date story. I have 6 siblings, married + kids. A SIL has connections to a band. She got tickets for any of us who wanted to go. All in the same section. My oldest nephew brought a 1 date to the concert. He talked to his aunt and she got them tickets close but in another section. We each went to the edge of each section and met, gave hugs. After i gave him a hug, i asked him quietly, jokingly if We like her. He smiled, said Yes We like her. I said and said Ok. It was just between the 3 of us. After he said hello, we all went back to our seats, enjoyed the Awesome concert. We did not see them after. Years later they are married and have a baby. He's still right. We Do Like her. They are still just so cute and perfect for each other.

One thing that stood out to me, regarding the story with the adopted sibling being uninvited from OP's wedding, was the words "baby snatchers". That is from my understanding very popular in the anti-adoption circles, where adoption is "wrong" and "unethical", even if the bio parents wanted to adopt out their kid for whatever reason.

You can forgive without exposing yourself or your family to additional opportunities which you will have to forgive again. Nobody ever got hit by a bus they saw coming. Zoom call was a test that they failed. Date from hell sounded like he was overwhelmed. When my wife met my family she was overwhelmed by the attention and had to back off for a bit to process it. She loves it now but it took some adjustment. That initial spark and the connection was remarkable too. Don't give up because of a silly mistake and take those 30 dates w/o family. I knew the moment I met my wife that she was the one. It took three more months to determine if she was crazy and married her 3 more months after that. 36 years later, it's the best/hardest thing I've ever done and totally worth it. Her mother was a nightmare but I handled her pretty well with humor. Those 30 dates you may have missed can become a real long lasting relationship. Don't reject that time as it could be magical or nuts. Give it a shot. Sometimes, you only get one.

If Markee posts have taught me anything its that Reddit is heavy on the drama seeking... They shoot for some of the worst outcomes of any given situation. I see some decent takes but jeez a lot of it is "Get out quick, goto therapy, take your baby to therapy!" like dude... Mental Health is Important but sometimes therapy isn't the answer to the problem and getting out at the first sign of a bad relationship is probably not a good idea. Its like Failure is unacceptable to some of these folks.

Everyone should have therapy, there’s a lot of generational trauma that most people don’t really know. Particularly in America. One generation had untreated ptsd from the war, the next was repeatedly shown videos about how to behave that was basically, look good, never talk about anything if it’s bad or shut up. A lot of society was broken and passing down their screwups and unprocessed traumas

Ahhh, I love it when people who have ASD with sensory issues are more or less forced to comply with their SO's wishes, despite the fact that it will be upsetting/triggering for the one with ASD. I have ASD, thankfully without any sensory issues, but if I had any, like OP in this case with rings and such, I'd frankly tell the SO "I have an issue, you know this, why do you want me to put myself in a bad mental situation just to apease you?", and wouldn't have worn any ring until I'd managed to work through it with a professional. Not everyone is able to get to a manageable place for their issues either. As for the finger tattoo, maybe it's because I do a lot of things at the computer (working, writing and drawing), but I see the undersides of my fingers a lot.

First date from hell story: shades of My Big Fat Greek Wedding! The only thing missing is OP getting a standing ovation from the family when he finally lost it and told them off. If this is actually true, I can’t even begin to give advice, because while the family is incredibly overbearing and the girl is obviously not able to set boundaries, I still see possibilities if the two of them could come to some kind of meeting of minds about the importance of keeping some distance and some privacy. And maybe not get with the family again until the first Christmas following their actual engagement (if they get that far).

Adopted sister story: while I do not approve of the adopted sister's behaviour, I think we lack a lot of details, in particular concerning how interactions with the neighbourhood and other kids were for the sister. And regarding the sister accusing her adoptive parents of "baby snatching", in particular, the fact that her bio-family is in the same country is for now the only reason I think it might be some exaggerated story or a total lie that she's getting fed b her bio-parents. But I lived a few years in Colombia, and saw a couple of documentaries on TV showing there is, and has been for a long time, a market for kids/babies for adoption (as it's easier to adopt in such countries than it is in the US or Europe), and the supply is maintained by snatching kids deemed appropriate. The adopting parents are told the bio-parents gave the kid out for adoption, so they have no idea there's kidnapping involved, but it's not unheard of at all. If that happens in Colombia, I suspect it happens in other Latin-American countries as well. So the story could actually be true, even though OP's parents adopted her sister in good faith.
@lauragarza7585

Yea like there’s definitely a lot missing from the story. And it really could go either way to being misplaced anger at being put up for adoption, not necessarily being adopted. As well as being raised in a family of a different culture, she definitely had life experiences that they didn’t understand. And even with the best intentions can still get hurt.

The 19-year-old young man who inherited his mother's home and ousted his mother's boyfriend and two kids should not feel any remorse for doing so. He is 19 years old and the mother's boyfriend is a full grown-up ass man. He has two 14-year-old daughters or whatever age they are and he needs to blow in his thumbs and grow a pair of balls to support his children. When you are a parent you do not have the luxury to dig a hole and hide. He needs to get a job. Not a career but a J O B to in order to support himself. The boyfriend is the one who is legally responsible for the two minor girls, not the mother's 19-year-old son. By not supporting his children. He is preventing this young man from starting his own life. He has put him on pause so that he can get his shit together. During the time he was with this young man's mother, he never pulled himself together. So now he's going to wallow in the excuse of her death in order to prevent himself from other ever pulling himself together. Talk about making someone else's problem. Your problem is OUTRAGEOUS. It's time to grow up, boyfriend of dead mother! What time is it boyfriend of the dead mother . IT'S TIME TO BE A MAN ! The boyfriend of the dead mother is trying to push his responsibilities as a parent onto a 19-year-old young man. That's called parentalizing. The person who in this video lectured the young man for being a bad person and having mental issues because he had the audacity to actually toss his mother's boyfriend out of the house with his kids should stop it. The 19-year-old did not drive any pleasure from the creation of these two children during the lifetime of the mother, the entitled lazy ass boyfriend did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to support HIS children. If the mother didn't leave a will then everything goes to her son. That's too bad and the fact that all of a sudden mother's boyfriend does get off his ass. It's too. Sue, his dead girlfriend's son. He is a grifter. He is a scammer. He is a deadbeat and that's what deadbeats do best. The only time they do anything is to see if they can get something for nothing or more of something from nothing. He's teaching his daughters. How to be grifters? How to be scammers? How to wait for other people to take care of them. Those two girls should be taken away from him and adopted out to a family that really wants children. He doesn't want anything but a "Life of Riley." This is the typical attitude of an entitled narcissist gaslighting and switching the blame to anybody they can attach it to but never take responsibility for themselves and any poor unfortunates who have either attached themselves to the narcissist or who unfortunately comes under their care. If you can even call that care. The only person the boyfriend cares about is himself. Where he sleeps. He wants the best bed in the house. What he eats. He wants the best food. He wants the best shelter. He probably even wants this 19-year-old young man to pay for his daughter's education too and his retirement. By the way, do you start a 401k plan for me? 19-year-old boy, if you didn't you better get to it. I'm not getting any younger. You know time for me to retire. I have to say what is a retiring from and the day came out of his mother. He was retired. He ought to hang his head in shame. Someone said that Josh just made the mother happy, really, REALLY HE MUST HAVE ONE MAGIC COCK. THAT'S ALL I GOT TO SAY BECAUSE HE SURE DIDN'T WORK A DAY IN HIS LIFE. He got this young man to give him money that he The boyfriend of the dead mother didn't earn, that he bought an apartment with my my. Isn't that interesting. I think the young man should call child protective services on his dead mother's boyfriend and report him for neglect because he did neglect his daughters and he is going to continue to neglect them and I wouldn't be surprised if he came knocking on the young man's door for another hand out. Not too far down the road. I guess to the boyfriend WORK is just another four letter word.

Then I got pregnant, had our daughter who was born with severe medical issues and then became a fulltime caregiver. I run the household like a hospital and have a ton of responsibility. I also do all of the cooking and cleaning on top of the extensive care for our daughter. It's by no means a normal lifestyle. I had to give up working to be 24/7 mom/ medical caregiver. In the 5 years since my pregnancy, I helped him overcome his addiction issues, start eating healthier and living a more normal lifestyle compared to what he had before we met.(he was a mess back then) he has gotten a promotion and a few raises. He still makes me split everything..I have to use my child tax benefit and our daughter's disability money to pay all my half of the bills. I am left with 0$ every month. Not even a dollar..My aunt started doing our taxes last year and was appalled with our arrangement. My aunt and I both tried to talk to him about what's typically fair when splitting costs and he is not at all on board. I also frequently have to pay for laundry, diapers and groceries. He somehow cannot manage money at all and has turned down every offer I have made to do some budgeting plan together. We do not have a joint account, aren't married been together for 6 years and our daughter is nearly 5. Thank God there's no threat of a second child, since we have had a sexless relationship for the past 5 years.😅 heh yay..That one story resonated with me a bit..

I explained it to my husband once before but I again told Jim about it. My husband is very understanding and the nurse poor nurse who had to do the infusion I explained to her she was mortified about such a thing happening to someone so young and was very sad that that nurse did that to me. I really feel bad for a lot of teachers. Luckily where I live, they don't seem to have to put up with as much as say in the US. When I was still in school (graduated 2012), we'd sometimes get a "lesson plan" on paper sent home with us so the parents knew what we were doing, or they'd sometimes be emails. Usually this was more for if students asked for it, or they needed extra help, or it was requested by the parents. During 7th-9th grade we had a period that was like a "study time", where we could work on whatever subject we needed. Had unfinished Spanish homework? Do it then. Got a work sheet from history? Do it then. And so on.

‼️For the adoption story 1:46:00 OP blocked everyone who mentioned that it's possible the bio family didn't give her up willingly. So I KNOW that's the case. I bet for some reason or other the state removed her from the bioparents and OPs family stepped in and adopted her. BUT it's also possible she was adopted from another country. If that is the case and that's where the vast majority of American adoptions come from is overseas children. Her parents might really be baby snatchers! Maybe they used a third party to "find" a baby for them which they took back to the US. Whatever happened the bio family did not give sister up for adoption out of their own free will because OP has blocked anyone who said otherwise. And if there wasn't some truth to the adopted sister statements OP would have just clarified it because she got so many comments about it. But she just blocked any mention instead. Plus OP never said to her sister they're the ones who gave you up for adoption etc etc. Which proves that's not the case. We are missing a lot of context for this adoption story the parents did something to acquire that kid and I believe whatever they did was incredibly shady

Even if your snatching theory is possible, it's unlikely. Yes,today it is very common for over sea's adoption. Due to the fact that the USAs adoption process is past screwed up. The government turns down couple's for ridiculous reason's/law's,so those couple's resort to over sea's adoption, which is cheaper from most other countries. So the child from which ever country, comes here to the state's and is raised in a loving family. Meanwhile children born right here are left in the system. Many live a life of abuse or neglect. Of course the couple that had been interested in loving that child don't qualify. I digress, with the timing of this story, back when OPs sister was adopted, over sea's adoption was something that influential/rich families were able to do. Regular everyday people didn't have that kind of an option. Due to the "quick" change in the sisters attitude, I am of the opinion that she was removed from her bio parents by force by the state. The bio parents have given her a story of how they were treated badly and punished by the state and that the adoptive parents were some how involved in it. There will come a time when sister discovers all the bio's lies. She will then realize exactly what she has burnt to the ground. I hope when she tries to return to the family, they turn her down and tell her exactly how she is nothing but a stupid, ignorant, trashxss,brain-dead biiitsh.

The rate of international adoptions in the US has been in steady decline since 2016 while foster care/domestic adoption has been in a steady incline. The vast majority of public adoptions in the US actually comes from foster care as it is faster (sometimes only taking 3 months to get matched and 1 year to get finalized) whereas overseas adoptions can take years and much more money and stricter rules such as only heterosexual couples and no single parents.

Hate to be the one to say it because it’ll hurt your feels. The adopted sister is black/Hispanic which means she was most likely taken by the state.

Final update on the guy cheating with step mom and step sis. Ex-SIL is in deep doodoo as the results for the dna tests came back and zero out of three is his! Ex-BIL is distraught. She doesn’t even know who else could be the father? Heifer, how many men have you been bedding, beside your husband and mine?! (Don’t worry I’ll find out) Like I knew she was a trifling old bag of bones but I never knew she was this cold! BIL has decided to cut ties for his own sanity as he feared he might act in a way that is outside his character. Now I feel bad for those babies but I understand why he had to leave. Did we (ex-bil and I) give a copy of the dna results to everyone she knows? Yes we did. Did I personally go out of my way to darken the steps of a church and make my testimony and hand out a copies of the dna results? I sure did! Ex-MIL and her daughter have cut ties and are silently hating each other but they are image obsessed so they kept things cute and silent. BUT a heathen like myself prefers to be cute and audible, and I haven’t forgotten dear mother! So I went and gave my testimony in front her beloved peers and read out a couple of the vilest text messages she and my ex-husband exchanged. There were a lot of gasps and screaming but I kept reading for as long as I could. I sure f*cking did! Unfortunately I couldn’t read more before I was dragged out and then attacked by ex-mil and ex-sil but I handled that and they never again lunged at me or threatened me with physical violence again. Over the years Robert has moved as shady in his legal business as his personal life and as a law-abiding citizen I felt compelled to inform the taxman of his dealings, as well as informing his former business partners and current ones. I also did some legally ambiguous things to Robert that I don’t want to put into writing but he’s no longer slinging dick like his life depended on it. That testicular fortitude he once had is slipping away. He just doesn’t have that pep in his step anymore. It’s hard to remain so casual when there are a couple of men hoping to catch you and a ex-wife who still has him on find my beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Roberts life is in tatters and well I love that, love that for him.

I feel like there could be more to the adoption story. Wish we got her sisters perspective

The parents in that first story literally make NEGATIVE sense: They're terrified that their child is being abused, and their solution is to abandon them; to isolate their child from their support network; to refuse to hear even POTENTIAL cries for help (THEY BLOCKED HER, after all) ... literally the ONLY way they could've done a worse job is if they said it was her fault she's being abused

Story 1. Parents had to read a "letter" so they could get their statement in order, but father slipped up with outburst. Its spontaneous, unrehearsed and therefore his true colors.

I once told a guy my c section scar wasn't from having children. It was from having a change of life, i.e getting a s change. He didn't care and still harassed me. That was when I lost it and went off on him and swung

Yeah... Your "intentions' toward his daughter were to get the fuck out of dodge! I don't know how you lasted as long as you did. I would have been gone the moment I realized I got brought to a family event.
