Bataan is VERY, VERY different from Zamboanga. Zamboanga is a friendly province and is also mostly Catholic. However, south of us are mountains covered in dense rainforests and the terrorists hide there. Also, a top as a local, if the locals warn you to run away, fucking run away.

I believe that's exactly what he did. "Think outside of the box". If he didn't, he would've have followed travel advisory both from the US embassy and Philippine authorities against going to "no go zones" in the Philippines. The US State Department and their counterparts in Australia, US, and Canada are always providing up to date information as to what parts of the Philippines (and Mexico) are currently unsafe and to avoid. However, MANY KZbinrs are constantly discounting this advice and telling their viewers that the area are safe "because they lived there two or three years and there has been no problems." As one of my ex-pat friends in Mexico said, "Everyplace in Mexico is safe ... until it is not."

Scott. It goes without saying because we stand out "Like a Sore Thumb" in the Philippines we should really know and understand the dangers when in a foreign country. To compound this man's problem like most foreigners in the Philippines he doesn't understand nor speak any conversational Tagalog or local dialect. So these are some of the more obvious disadvantages at the top of the list. Then you go to a known area of the country known for its rebel activity because your wife is from that area. He was well aware of the dangers and was warmed but still did not take the advice nor listen to his own US State Departments warnings. It's possible this was personal ,as no ransom demands have been released. He needs our prayers.

A really bad situation Scott, however I find it a bit strange that with these warnings his own wife wouldn't have said "you or we have to get out of here and live some place else". I mean she above all should have known just how hazardous it was for him to be there. They did find a body of a caucasian floating near the shore, and it hasn't yet been identified, ... but it could be him. Too bad really when common sense would have said not to live there and heed neighbours warnings.

I haven't attempted to watch his video on his channel, apparently they're still up? But the snippets shown on other YT channels are very weird, he seems to love showing how fit he is and loves talking about how dangerous the place is and how he's especially in danger, sorry, I just don't understand his attitude.
