Allot of guys that left jobs for better offers had been undervalued since the last recession and had enough of being rode by bad bosses. You cant blame a worker exploiting circumstances when their boss exploited them for the last twenty years. In my experience business is business, loyalty never came in to it. If business got so bad a CEO had to let all of his employees go and roll his sleeves up, that is what he would do. No loyalty, just the bottom line. I could be wrong, maybe I've never had a loyal boss. . .
@bakothegreat

I literally stopped listening after he made this comment. People are so divorced from the view of a worker that they even start saying things like "abused employer". I hate to sound like the person that is predicting the next crash because we have had plenty of those people for a long time, but when you look at the data it's hard to see the economy not crashing, possibly as bad as it did in '08 if not worse. It reminds me of the movie Big Short where they discuss the Brownfield Fund's investment strategy that people don't like thinking about bad things happening so they underestimated the likelihood of them occuring.

Ive seen this trick before…If you hadn’t noticed, the markets have been falling for 6 straight months… QT, rate rises, inflation is all priced in, also recession metrics like CPI lag by 2 quarters.. we are always in a recession 6 months before people realise and inversely out of it 6 months also before people realise…but what I have noticed is wealthy people love to convince poor people to sell everything at the bottom. This clip might be an example of that fear selling/wealth transfer in real time. 3 rich guys telling poor viewers to sell at the bottom… oh and also buy their books! Thanks!

I see a number of economists saying the same thing about the economy, that in the next 10 to 18 months a big recession is coming, as well as the government will not have the funds to bail out companies or individuals. Prices are too high, inflation is too high. Wages are and have been stagnate for years. Many people never fully recovered from the 2008 recession. Millennials now being the biggest contributors to todays market are 10 to 15 years behind where their parents were finically. Boomers cant retire or have to un-retire and return to work, as they did back in 2008 due to the increase in prices of goods. That being said for those millennial's in recession proof jobs such as in social services, government jobs, and other essential careers (which the covid lock downs have shown who's career s are in fact essential), will be fine with a recession, and could be able to now afford a house with a recession, or at the very least get a better bang for their buck in rent. In my opinion, the 2008 recession never had a proper recovery, this recession is needed for a proper reset of the market.
