Normally, the traditional blouse all around Romania is completely white, the yellow colour is not in the picture at all! The differences between the regions is in the embroidery but all are white! Keep in mind for the next time. And about 100 bucks for that blouse is a fair price taking in the account that is made entirely manual!
@RaduRadonys3 жыл бұрын
@@octaviangiuroescu5165 It was 100 lei which is 25 USD, so it was not manual. The manual ones they showed were 800 lei or 200 USD which is very very expensive, I wouldn't pay 200 USD on any clothing, no matter what.

🇷🇴 “Bihor, not Dior”😉 Romanian folk motifs are a way of expression for the person who wore them. Romanian "Iils/iile" show the area where they come from, the social, material, spiritual status, age or occupation of that person.

About the cows you see all around rural Romania. Those are almost always the cows from the whole village. Each household will have 1-3 cows, and they all leave their homes in the morning and gather in one spot. From there the village herdsman will keep watch and move them around the fields until evening. Then when it starts to get dark each cow will leave by it'sself to their own house. But, in most villages you'll also have at least a couple of proper milk farms with 20-100 Holstein cows (the ones that look like the Milka cow, but black). Those have their own fields, and don't wonder through traffic. We joke that the Romanian breed of cows are "Milk-Cheese-Meat-Eggs" cows. Because in the west they made specific breeds for meat or for milk, (or in case of the chickens for eggs). But in Romania the "Great Leader" said that's wasteful and un-socialistic. So the Romanian breeds were made to have both good milk production and meat. Whilte they aren't great for either, they are good enough.

Some people here have been calling the Voroneț monastery church the Sistine Chapel of Romania. I think it would be better to compare it to the Papal Basilica of San Francesco (Saint Francis) in Assisi. Although the basilica is 200 or more years older than Voroneț its inner walls and ceilings are also absolutely covered in frescoes with liberal use of the blue paint as well. Stunning, with the UNESCO designations that Voroneț was also given. You can see the similarities if you google 'basilica San Francesco Assisi" and look at the google images and there are some youtubes too.
