dude 50 gourde is 10 haitian dollars. 50 gourde does not equal to 6.25 us dollar. 1 us dollar=8 haitian dollars which is 40 gourde. so 50 gourde is about 1.5 us dollar. 6.25 us dollar is about 50 HAITIAN DOLLARS which is 250 gourde

very confusing... this whole haitian dollar thing started back when $1 US was equivalent to 5 haitian gourdes many decades ago. Even my illiterate grandmother can convert haitian gourde to haitian $ in a split second...
