WORRIED ABOUT THE MARKETS? SCHEDULE YOUR FREE PORTFOLIO REVIEW with Wealthion's endorsed financial advisors at www.wealthion.com
The real money in investing is made by those who perceive what the markets are likely to do tomorrow, and then position themselves today to profit from that future action.
Today's guest, Lakshman Achuthan, co-founded the Economic Cycle Research Institute specifically to identify these key turning points for investors.
Which key turning points are in play right now? And how can we best take advantage of them?
Let's find out.

At Wealthion, we show you how to protect and build your wealth by learning from the world’s top experts on finance and money. Each week we add new videos that provide you with access to the foremost specialists in investing, economics, the stock market, real estate and personal finance.
We offer exceptional interviews and explainer videos that dive deep into the trends driving today's markets, the economy, and your own net worth. We give you strategies for financial security, practical answers to questions like “how to grow my investments?”, and effective solutions for wealth building tailored to 'regular' investors just like you.
There’s no doubt that it's a very challenging time right now for the average investor. Above and beyond the recent economic impacts of COVID, the new era of record low interest rates, runaway US debt and US deficits, and trillions of dollars in monetary and fiscal stimulus stimulus has changed the rules of investing by dangerously distorting the Dow index, the S&P 500, and nearly all other asset prices. Can prices keep rising, or is there a painful reckoning ahead?
Let us help you prepare your portfolio just in case the future brings one or more of the following: inflation, deflation, a bull market, a bear market, a market correction, a stock market crash, a real estate bubble, a real estate crash, an economic boom, a recession, a depression, or another global financial crisis.
Put the wisdom from the money & markets experts we feature on Wealthion into action by scheduling a free consultation with Wealthion’s endorsed financial advisors, who will work with you to determine the right next steps for you to take in building your wealth.

I advise you to invest in stocks to balance out your real estate, Even the worst recessions offer wonderful buying opportunities in the markets if you're cautious. Volatility can also result in excellent short-term buy and sell opportunities. This is not financial advice, but buy now because cash is definitely not king right now!

True, the idea of a portfolio-coach used to sound generic, but a new study by investopedia actually found that demand for portfolio-coaches sky-rocketed by over 41.8% since the pandemic and based on firsthand encounters, I can say for certain their skillsets are topnotch, I've raised over $900k from an initially stagnant reserve of $250K all within 14months.

Manufacturing is in a depression not a recession. Manufacturing is always a key indicator of what will happen in six months to the rest of the economy. The VIX back at a 15 handle. Tech stocks back at 2021 bubble highs and still going... all this bad news seems great for the market and i seriously question in integrity of our markets now, more than ever... these daily options manipulation scam thats been going on is not very comforting price action if you're thinking about becoming a new investor. I wish Adam could get Ginsler of the SEC on here and ask him a few questions about why this blatant stock manipulation which started in 2020, is tolerated. The entities which have hijacked these markets, could care less about any of the data, earnings or any other risk, and its become as obvious as day. Our market is no more than a ponzi casino currently, and gets worse daily! thanks again Adam for the great conversation.

The blatant manipulation is being done by the very people who are supposed to prevent it. The FED plunge protection team goes to work every week. Check the charts for all of this year. Tuesdays (or the 2nd trading day of the week) is almost always down. Day 3 and 4 up and down. But by weeks end they end on a positive trend. The FED has a trading desk and they not only buy debt, they are also buying the market.

There are two huge issues facing the economy, one is the $1.1 trillion in just 7 months needed after the debt ceiling sucking liquidity out of the economy, then there's the Supreme court decision about Student debt which again would reduce spending power especially for the young. Both these are going to cause a major downturn.
@johnbirman5840

“Reduce spending power especially for the young” re: Student Loans. You mean - paying back a loan that was entered into by the borrower? I guess that would mean “reducing spending power” if one actually has to repay that loan.
@MichaelHarrington17
@MichaelHarrington17 11 ай бұрын
Student loans are the easiest loans to defer in the credit market. Just can't refi them at lower rates, which is wrong. Paying loans is not onerous, but does impact the disposable income for Door Dash, etc. Most of these service vendors that sprang up in the free money economy won't survive, nor should they. Maybe younger generations will learn how to cook - it's more rewarding.

He even brings a recurring guest like Lance on weekly to share how he's attempting to catch these wiggles and change his bias. Adam is doing a good job sticking to fundamentals and education and conservative returns considering how low risk it is. Odds are most media personalities will miss the bottom and maybe even miss the recession itself since these things are dated afterward. I could make an equally bullish or bearish investment thesis right now. Wealthion is good so stop spewing unhelpful comments if ur too lazy to generate ur own alpha.

Also the other natural phenomenon that could seriously impact the Global economy is an increase in volcanism. Maybe you could interview a geologist or a volcanologist? Quote from an article by Volcanologist Heather Handley - "Climate change is causing the widespread warming of our land, oceans and atmosphere. Apart from this, it also has the potential to increase volcanic activity, affect the size of eruptions, and alter the “cooling effect” that follows volcanic eruptions. Any of these scenarios could have far-reaching consequences."

@@jorge1170xyz The very moment the Fed holds back on propping them all up, it will collapse, guaranteed. And don't think that the investment bankers don't know it!! Just look what happened in 2008. This is simply a re-play, just another chapter of this "Boom, bust" economy, and as always, We the Taxpayers will all pay for it.

Lakshman’s assessment of Japan makes more sense than Rosenberg’s. Japan’s demographics are horrendous and the deflationary pressures that creates. It may be a cyclical market play but for longer term strategies it looks pretty grim. I'd let Warren Buffett manage my Japan exposure by buying BRK.B As an Asian play, India sounds far more promising. I shy away from US dependent Mexico with its undemocratic politics and narcostate struggles.

Adam. if your opening statement is true. then the markets are not a fair place to earn a rate of return on ones money, but rather a place where ones greed to take advantage over their fellow humans can be exploited to the nth degree…. Sad that we have fallen to this place…. 🤔😕

I am wondering if you could find someone to ask about what the the future looks like if AI and automation really takes over which lowers the companies cost to produce products but now there is so few people working there is no one to buy the products. No more writers, programmers, etc due to AI. Then you loose truckers, taxi driver (and uber) to self diving vehicles. You loose factory worker, fastfood workers, etc to automation. Who has money to buy the products that are produced.

WRONG! People make money in the markets by trading what they are seeing today and don't worry about tomorrow. People positioning themselves for what they think is going to happen tomorrow lose a lot of money.

Good one. Nobody here predicted recession long ago. Maybe there was a time when the “markets look ahead 6-12 months”, maybe it’s a myth, or maybe they are just looking the wrong way. lol Seriously, with the mind boggling levels of reckless fiscal spending, in my opinion, the stock market has become even more a manifestation of manipulation, than speculation of companies viability Stagflation 2.0 Adam, I was in the lovely downtown of Concord, last night. A beautiful, peaceful night. Out of nowhere, we were approached by an strong young male migrant begging us for money. It’s likely going to become very uncomfortable just about anywhere one attempts to find recreation
