There is a big difference between the 2008 crash and what is about to hit now. This time the Bank of Canada and the Canadian Government are BROKE, they will not have the ability to buy up worthless, dodgy mortgages from the banks to keep houses prices up and the banks solvent. This time the banks will feel the pain and there will be no bail-outs for them. Plus, even with the Bank of Canada stating they are lowering rates, the free market will take over mortgage rates which will march higher, creating even more defaults for the banks. Maybe the Bank of Canada doesn't understand that even if you set the rate lower. SOMEBODY still needs to buy the worthless debt from the government at these lower rates while inflation is running higher than the artificially low rates. Buckle up, this year is going to be epic in the financial markets.
@braeluke2 күн бұрын
No "bail-outs" this time is correct. Instead it will be "bail-ins" as both Trudeau and Obama signed those bills into office. Bail-ins will take OUR money directly from our bank accounts.

If the BoC has a mandate to keep inflation low they will have to prevent the dollar from falling below 65¢. When the dollar falls below that threshold, inflation of prices automatically increases 10¢ on the dollar for most non-comoditized goods. This has been set up to increase price stability, as changing prices everyday would be a nightmare for businesses. When that 10¢ imported inflation hits, the lines at the food bank will double, and news of 70% of people being turned away will hit hard politically. This is the room for policy divergence Carolyn Rogers was speaking of. The BoC will not allow the dollar to dip that low.

Whether the banks can sue people that back out of these presale condo deals or not depends entirely on what is written into the contract. The whole concept of putting down a deposit is that that is the penalty one pays if they back out of the deal, unless of course, they were smart enough to also write in the contract that they could back out if they could not get financing. Given the environment in which people sign these things two or three years ago, however, it is unlikely that anybody got the latter written into any contract.

Americans would also come here for good paying commodity jobs that exports the materials to America anyways. Life here is too hard, its too cold, depression common. Absolutely…. By dropping rates before the worst offenders feel the full pain of their irresponsible borrowing they are forcing the responsible people to pay for it again. Let the irresponsible go bankrupt. Zoomers are still paying for the 2008 bailouts of their rich parents. The economy they operate in has never recovered. Has required “stimulus” their whole lives. Let’s double down The reason the last flu happened was because they knew we’d never let them bail out asset holders again. They needed a publicly agreeable excuse so they manufactured one. When global economy is bad, when USA gives us a blow at this hard times, when more people are unemployed, we needed to pull ourselves together and consider what to do next for our economy and all the people who will be homeless and no money to pay for food. Instead of going the old ways, can we think of a new system in distributing our resources? Can the government put up all efforts in freeing and remodelling idle premises on hands to provide temporary cheap accommodations for unemployed families. We need also a more sophisticate system in running our food banks. We need more attention for the poor people that is and will be affected by this global economic pandemic. The bubbles of the markets are number games, but the real people are suffering. Our population is still not as much while we have a lot of resources. I believe we can do it.

As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.

I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work.. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.

how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?
