Waay back in November of 2016, a couple of weeks after the election, I read a posting by a Silicon Valley IT guy who was from Germany. He cautioned that Trump could turn into a Hitler. First time watching this Bloomberg show.Thumbs up. Former Republicans turning from Trump and 'R' candidates began in '16 and '17. If Scaramucci is correct and more of them are putting our Constitutional Democracy first this coming election, that's excellent news. Me too. Needless to say, neither he nor I have a say in Harris' VP pick, but based on Anthony's comment about Marc Kelly, I think that's another point for him. At this time, I think all of the names being floated are highly qualified. Shapiro is a very effective politician and PA is an important swing state, but I am doubtful that enough Americans are open to voting for a woman who's also a woman of color with a Jewish running mate. The Trump campaign, Fox and their ilk are already ignoring her Baptist faith and attacking her for being married to 'a Jew.' Sadly, some of the low, ugly attacks will stick. They may also go too far with some 'on the fence' voters. I don't envy them the position they find themselves in, but it is their Frankenstein monster after all.

Are you aware that Pres Biden got Republicans like SenbLankford of OK to reach across the aisle and agree to a bipartisan immigration reform bill? The first in 30yrs? Biden got it done, and Trump told Speaker Johnson to tank the legislation. It never got called to vote. Trump did this because, he said he wanted the issue to campaign against Dems vs any resolution. How un presidential and disqualifying is that?

Up here in Canada, we were getting a bit worried about our cousins to the south. It is indisputable that President Biden has had a long and distinguished political career, and comes off as a truly righteous guy. However, we cannot outrun time, and time has caught up with the president, who is clearly struggling with the onset of the ravages of age. He still has decades of insight and gained wisdom to contribute to the administration of your great country, but it had become obvious that he had lost the confidence of the greater voting public down there to competently hold the office of the president of the United States. Kamala Harris presents a viable and historic alternative to four more insane years of a Donald Trump presidency, and we Canadians are generally relieved. It is vital to us and the world that we have a sane and stable USA. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
