WOW As beautiful as that square Oak Tree Log 🪵 is it's great for either building cabinets or kitchen Tables and coffee and end Tables and I'll bet you can get Top Dollar 💵 for lumber that looks as beautiful board's that is turning out to be !

That's right Marc, never let them get dull.Same for my zero turn ex mark mower,I sharpen the blades every morning before we leave to mow,and balancing the blades is as important as touching them up. Makes my stripes nice and clean

That is Chestnut oak. It is a white oak species yet has red tint to the wood. Sadly not enough of it around me as a wood turner I love it.

I'm with you in putting an edge on something as soon as they start getting dull. No use killing it. I'd usually oil and gas a saw up then when I touched the teeth up. That did away with a lot of confusion and the bus motor was happier today because of a honing. Yall remain calm and that square butt had a LOT of pretty boards. I can't watch Shannon. Too many close calls for me. I remember how the old mill was and us running for cover. God Bless Yall

My grandmother "Busha" lived in Shamokin, PA was Polish and my coal miner Grandfather was Lithuanian. They both snuck out right after WW I.. Not too many people are from Lithuania. My last name sounds Greek so most people think I am of Greek origin. I was told a lot of Greeks emigrated to Lithuania. Good show and I am glad it goes around the world. WOW never heard of square oak. Looks nice though. viewed in California, USA

I know that this problably sounds crazy, but you should put out a cd of all the sounds of the machinery. Especially the sounds of the saw going through the logs. I love your videos and watch all the time but I also find that if I put my phone to my ear I can actually fall asleep better, something relaxing about that sound, crazy right!! Keep up the good work

Chestnut oak is part of the white oak family. The acorns need to be winter hardened before they will germinate.

One time I recommended you needed to put your cut material on saw horses to avoid bending over so much. After watching the view of you guys edging, you need a hydraulic lift table. Easy to load and unload at a comfortable height. 👍👍

I don't know why I envision what I am but I think a road greater shortly after they became hydraulic, say 10 years after that fact, the cab from a roadgrader would be a perfect cab for that saw mill. I think it would be a greathing because of all the levers and handles in it would be plenty to operate that. Saw might be on to making my own if I ever do this type of solo I think it'd be a great idea

Pith is not usually stable. In hardwood it moves an splits when drying usually. I have had some success wood turning bowls going through the pith. But you are removing most of it

it's a 9/32" kerf bit and I can sharpen it down to 1/4" before changing out the bits.

6 V belts drive the saw and everything else is run by hydraulics
