Great video, What a wonderful keepsake for you and your family. My wife and I made it up thru Tracy Arm Fjord in one of the "six-pack" charter boats out of Juneau in the early nineties. Wish we'd returned for "seconds." Thanks for sharing

Wow great video! The big pieces of glacier ice falling down was so fascinating to watch😊. I can't believe how close you guys got to the hump back whales that was so cool👍👍

We did the glacier explorer this May from the Carnival Splendor, we got to see orcas and bears, we loved it, you got some great scenes of the whales. We just love cruising in Alaska.

Thanks for the video. I was undecided on whether to take the Tracy Arm excursion offered on Princess Ruby. Your video helped me decide and it's a definite YES!

I am planning on doing this same excursion in a couple of weeks. Did you get off the boat used on this tour or did you stay on. I'm wondering if the footwear I planned to take will do. If we get out and walk on ice or snow, I might need to rethink.

Ann Chovey you stay on the boat.

Mark , lovely trip. I would very much like to do same adaventurous trip rather than on a cruise ship. Please tell me how to do this kind of adventure,,,how and where to start and end and estimate costs. I lived in Singapore and would very much like to see Alaska in a different way like yours. The last time with my wife we just on a cruise from Anchorage to Vancouver. that;s a''.....practically we don't see glaciers like this etc., Thanks if u can advise me. Kennie

Call this number for the boat I went on. I think it was around $100 1800-228-3875 or 907-463-2509

Probably a dumb question but what is making the ice appear blue on the glacier?
@TheMICRKR8 жыл бұрын
+TheMICRKR I hope it isn't something as obvious as the sky!!!
@MarkVanceinSRQ8 жыл бұрын
The ice absorbs all the sun light spectrum except the blue light which is reflected back to us.
@julinization5 жыл бұрын
Low frequency of blue color, makes it bounce back, other high frequency colors with higher frequency is absorbed or passes through the ice and thus not reflected back.
@amandareiche90832 жыл бұрын
It is because it is so compressed that much of the oxygen is gone causing the color--water color is due to minerals.
