2 lbs. beef, cut up (round or better)
2 tsp. salt
1 large onion, chopped (1 ½ if you like onion)
5 tsp. Orrington beef soup base
4 cloves garlic, minced( or granulated garlic)
(optional) ½ tsp. crushed red pepper
(optional) ½ tsp. Fines Herbes
¼ tsp. black pepper
1bay leaf
2 lbs. carrots (mini or sliced)
6-8 good-sized potatoes

It took me almost three years (just 2 weeks ago) to finally actually come to terms with the loss. I'd spent 3 years going through the first four stages of grief, never getting to the 5th. I’ve always had that thought too, I decided to try my best when I’m cutting something familiar to try tucking my fingers in a bit more each time for practice as it is a little safer to try that, but otherwise I’m fumbling around too much with tucking my fingers in and not holding 5e food steady when I’m slicing so slowly anyways that I’m more likely to get cut! I also have poor eyesight, to with the way I have to look down with my glasses makes me slower no matter how quick I want to be when chopping, she I’d rather go slow and hold the food steady than worry about the technically safer way
