I assume that this is for the conversion of my 3071: NS SBB TEE Diesel Train Set "Edelweiss Express"...

You need to open the motor, so that you can confirm the size of the armature. This because there are two sizes, Small (SFCM) and Large (LFCM). The large armature has three poles that are clearly larger, and "stick out" well past the commutator disc. The 3071 has -I believe- a LFCM motor.

Is this the same kit for a 1957 3003 lok?
