Drivers Eye View Switzerland | Swiss Train Cab ride from Rochers de Naye to Montreux via Glion. This mountain train Montreux-Glion-Rochers-de-Naye railway is since 2001 operated by Transports Montreux-Vevey-Riviera (MVR). This driver's eye view ride starts in a lot of snow and ends in the rain after a descent of 22%. Unfortunally the weather conditions where not the best. Normally there is a stunning view from Rochers de Naye mountain over the Swiss Alps and the lake Geneva. A good reason to go back some day... ;-). From Montreux there are connecting trains trains of SBB-CFF-FFS and the MOB - Montreux Oberland Bernois Railways with the famous GoldenPass line Panoramic trainride to Lucerne via Zweisimmen and Interlaken.

Führerstandsmitfahrt mit dem Schweizer Zug von Rochers de Naye über Glion nach Montreux. Diese Bergbahn Montreux - Glion - Rochers-de-Naye wird seit 2001 von den Verkehrsbetrieben Montreux - Vevey - Riviera (MVR) betrieben. Diese Fahrt aus der Sicht des Fahrers beginnt bei viel Schnee und endet bei Regen nach einer Abfahrt von 22%. Leider waren die Wetterbedingungen nicht die besten. Normalerweise hat man vom Berg Rochers de Naye einen atemberaubenden Blick über die Schweizer Alpen und den Genfersee. Ein guter Grund, eines Tages zurückzukehren ... ;-). Ab Montreux gibt es Anschlusszüge der SBB-CFF-FFS und der MOB - Montreux Oberland Bernois Railways mit der berühmten GoldenPass-Linie Panoramabahnfahrt über Zweisimmen und Interlaken nach Luzern.

Deze bergtrein van Montreux-Glion-Rochers-de-Naye wordt sinds 2001 geëxploiteerd door Transports Montreux-Vevey-Riviera (MVR). Deze rit begint in veel sneeuw en eindigt in de regen na een afdaling van 22%. Helaas waren de weersomstandigheden niet de beste. Normaal gesproken is er een prachtig uitzicht vanaf de berg Rochers de Naye over de Zwitserse Alpen en het meer van Genève. Een goede reden om ooit terug te gaan ... ;-). 39.minutes 10 seconds is my school on the left with the wall and fence on top. I really miss glion/Montreux/lake Geneva and Switzerland. A truly stunning country

Excellent trip. Got to see the plow, a rotary. Saw it on the way up but could not see what type. I wonder when they close the tunnel doors near the top? I suppose they listen to the weather forecast and close them if the snow fall exceeds the plow capacity or height or the wind exceeds safe working speed. Have seen a summer run before but not winter.
