Hi Mark in case you are interested. I watch another KZbinr wich has awesome image quality an super smooth gimbal (i only know its a smaller one than you have). Maybe you want to get in touch with him. His name is Dale Stone (also the channel name) from Canada. Cheers. PS: Love the stump jump. Scares me even an youtube :)

It is good to also have a headmount so you can get a few different angles and putting a camera on the handle bars can be cool for a quick shot on the trail or looking at you

Does it matter if you film in 4K or 1080p, KZbin only uploads in 1080p, does the quality still look the same or does 4K look better than 1080p on KZbin?
@MarkMatthewsMTB4 жыл бұрын
The footage is just more versatile because you can crop it in more if needed
@TylerBoothGolf4 жыл бұрын
Shooting in 4K will record at a higher bitrate, which provides a higher quality raw video. The Hero 7 Black, at 4K30 will generally produce around 60Mbps bitrate, so file sizes will be larger to note. The extra data helps a lot when editing in post, especially when using a Flat color profile & correcting manually (or cropping, like Mark mentioned). You also want to export your files from a 4K timeline, since playing back a video at 4K on KZbin provides more bitrate & in turn, a higher quality picture on any monitor. Even if all that footage was filmed in 1080p, but edited/exported through a 4K timeline, KZbin will provide the 4K playback option, which provides that bitrate boost & makes your footage look even better. Phones are still being capped to a 1080p bitrate threshold though. Hope that helps a bit!
@shredditsbiking4 жыл бұрын
So stoked to c the video. I have the same settings as you for my gopro 7 black although for some reason when I upload the video to my youtube it has some sort of problem with rendering and makes the video ugly and blurry.

WOW your footage is THE BEST.... I use a Campark Nock off . i was using 1080 at 60fps or 30 fps. but i can barely see my bars at 170' FOV... would 4k 30 fps be a wider shot ? I'll keep playing with it. Man i got like 2 attachements on my chest mount LOL thank you for this

Check your fpv settings a higher resolution just allows you to crop in more

Ok, hear me out... what if you used a gimbal with the GoPro 7 and then put it through Reelsteady? That way one could use the widest lens possible while having some shaking removed by the gimbal and then fine tuned it with the reelsteady software to make it perfect... Am I the only one thinking about doing this?
@p199a4 жыл бұрын
YT video quality is better at lower frame rate because YT sends more data per frame for 30FPS videos. 60 FPS vids don't get double the bandwidth unfortunately, you get more frames but they are of lower quality. Is there vid of your crash where u broke your collar bone ?

@nathanael_marguereta_dop4 жыл бұрын
Also, if you shoot at 60fps, you can slow it down by x2.5 (-250% in prpro) and you'll get exactly 24.00 fps (60 is 24+24+12) so you can use 24 fps shot or 30fps shot while still being able to use 60 fps slow mo without creating frames.

I agree that the Karma grip is the best! I’ve seen side by side footage comparisons on KZbin between the Karma grip and other gimbals, where the footage was zoomed in for comparison, and other gimbals always had a small jitter and noticeable microadjustments, which was all absent on the footage shot on the Karma grip. Karma grip is just buttery smooth.
