The thing that disgusted me the most is that he willingly chose his children's BIRTH to wreck havoc with their finances and leave them homeless while gaslighting OP. Yeah I had heard this story before but this the first time I had heard an update of this story. You're it seems that his bike nonsense with the finances happened when his wife was pregnant and in some cases incapacitated, cause it seem all her pregnancies were hard especially the deliveries. It's almost like he got her pregnant on purpose, cause it let him commit financial incompetence when she was most vulnerable. He's absolute trash. After the first time we went homeless I would have been on those books like nobodies business. I'm glad she's taking steps to get her and her kids out of this mess for good. I would demand full custody cause this manchild destroyed his family's finances and security one to many times. I would give all evidence of his duplicity and misuse of the family finances over the years. Also how he trying to spend your inheritance on himself and how he doesn't seem to care about his childrens future, and that they need to work stuff while he thinks he has the right to squander his wife's money on himself. He gives money he shouldn't to his family to look good for them and to look like big shot. When Op divorces move far away from this leech who proves time and time again he's no father let alone husband material. Get that house, only u on the title, have the money properly invested/in a trust for the kids. Also make sure he gets nothing and can't touch a dime if anything happens to u.

I think he did it on purpose at times where she was ill and creating some expenses (pregnancy) because one he could hide it among the healthcare expenses and two because she was distracted and felt guilty. I wouldn't blame the victim for this considering that after having lots of hard pregnancies (she kind of mentioned them in passing, but also she had miscarriages, those can be essentially all losses comparable to losing an actual child if you wanted the babies, so she was grieving a lot, after having a hard time with pregnancies) and then her mother passed but was super ill at first. You gotta hand it to the dude, he's super good at being stealthy and manipulative and it doesn't take much to bamboozle a grieving person who is ill and trusts you.

As an aside, kids are not responsible for their parents debts. If your husbands parents die, and they have unpaid debts, your husband is not responsible for paying those debts. Any debtors can go after the estate, so any assets that the parents have will be used to pay out debtors first, and if there is anything left after all debts have been paid, that will be divided based upon their will. However, if there is any debt remaining after the estate has been liquidated to pay the debtors, then it will just be unpaid debt. Your husband will not be responsible for paying off his parents debts. No debtors will be able to go after him, unless he has co-signed or has his name anywhere on his parents debt (which it doesn’t sound like).

The story at the end brought back some wonderful memories. I dated an Indian fellow in college (a million years ago) and learned to cook Indian food at that time. it is still my favorite cuisine. A few years ago, I decided to make some and went to a nearby Indian grocery. When I walked into the store, I stopped and took a deep breath and said "I forgot how great an Indian grocery smells." The clerk looked at me like I had grown to heads, because I was a tiny blond (now mostly white) lady who didn't look like I would have ever been in one. This story has me craving it again!!

1:He's made them homeless *three separate times* and I get the impression that this isn't something that just happened after they married. *WHY IS SHE WITH THIS ALLEGED MAN?!* Update: She says he wasn't like this when they dated, but it's pretty clear that his entire family is irresponsible with money. Did she not *talk to him* about finances while they dated? Did she think it wouldn't be a problem because she'd always be in charge and could trust him not to do anything behind her back? *Despite* how open he and his parents are about not caring to save *anything?* I feel for her, sure, but *why don't people THINK* before marrying? Or living together? Or having sex? 2: That flight attendant was *brilliant.* Or it may be something flight attendants for that airline are taught. Either way, *awesome.* 3: This is *adorable.* Also, there's a bit of general confusion over what "1st generation" means, so no fault to OP on that.

how does this even happen?? I can't imagine anybody in my life having that audacity especially not my partner. if he said he was buying all that new tech I'd be like "cool, that's gonna take a while to pay off tho!" like???? why wouldn't you just tell him straight up he's not touching that money??I know its hard but... ahhh!! I feel so sorry for this person :(

Sounds like he gaslighted her to feel it was her fault they went homeless every time. Saying it was her hospital bills that made them homeless. What a piece of shit honestly. It's unfortunate though that she didn't investigate the first time it happened where the money actually went... She was too trusting to believe his lies. That's the part where I feel like she is an idiot but still the husband is the main problem here. And she let his lies fool her three times too... OP is an absolute doormat and needs to grow a spine not for her sake, but her 4 childrens sake! Or she will just keep finding new abusive partners in the future and this same shit is gonna keep happening. But also why birth 4 children when you keep going homeless??? Why OP what were you thinking?! She shares that part of the blame for letting this situation go on for this long putting her children at risk.

Last story: I hope Op's mother in law offers copies of hubby's favourite recipes, or that Op asks for them. I'm slowly putting together recipes my sons have grown up enjoying. I've also gifted them each (2 sons) copies of the cookbook I use the most. Many recipes I use as listed, but some I have altered. Op's husband's expression and thoughts come through the story so clearly! 💝💝

Dude! Your Dad passed away not that long ago, you're still mourning and will be for the rest of your life. You miss your Dad and your Mom. I miss both of mine and it's been12 years. It's good to remember them and to talk about them, they were major parts of your life, very important people, especially as they were good parents. Besides, I love hearing your stories too, they remind me of my folks and the adventures we had. It's a beautiful, loving thing!

Thanks so much for that itty bitty story at the end. So much so that this Canadian was so captivated by OP's story and her husband's reaction that I just had to look up what is Haleem. Well, I'll be heading out for some ingredients to make said dish cuz, gosh golly damn that sure sounds ridiculously delicious!!! Thankfully, there's an India/Asian grocery store not five minutes from me. LOL Thanks for helping with family meal prep @MarkNarrations 😉😄

Story 1 - OP needs the inheritance protected, and then divorce husband as he has no love or respect for OP and their kids. He will accumulate debt expecting OP to pay it off, she needs to stay strong and show him she won't, and never ever give in or he will keep doing it until he takes every penny.

Story 1: "When our children are adults, they'll have to work for what they want" says the person banking on someone's _death_ in order to fund his lifestyle. Make a separate bank account, put the inheritance in there, and make him live by his own fucking sentiment of working for what he wants while you actually help your children _like a parent should_ and if he has a problem with that then he can _leave._
@jerriewyatt9052 жыл бұрын
Story 1.. OP’s children should come before this irresponsible idiot.. put the money in trust funds for the kids.. and put the rest in account he can’t touch..If his spending has caused the family to be homeless.. she should definitely leave him..

Story 1: This guy is way past Captain Marinara and gone all the way to Rear Admiral. Story 2: The plane has to take off when it has to take off. There is a schedule for a reason. So its always an easy decision for the crew and airline to ditch the problem passengers, permanently if need be.

He has a history to sabotaging our budget and leave us homeless 3 time, omg jfc why do women do this to themselves? Do they think they wont find anyone better?
@PrincessQ-fj9ly2 жыл бұрын
Maybe. Some people do tend to settle for a bad relationship, either because they're scared of being alone or because it's comfortable. I've yet to have a boyfriend, much less a husband but I do feel that hitting rock bottom, ie making us homeless would be a dealbreaker for me, even if I still loved him. I mean if you can't be responsible with money, then you shouldn't be given any of it.
@dawndoe112 жыл бұрын
He did it while she was in the hospital, recovering from birth, and since she was busy healing/dealing with a baby, she didn't look too closely and thought it was due to the hospital bills (which is kind of understandable, US hospital bills are awful). Plus she'd been preoccupied with her mother's sickness/death. OP's husband probably hid this facet until he felt he had OP trapped, and did his best to gaslight her each time.
