A friend of mine and my little aussie hiked Sweet Creek in August 2020, and shortly after that there was a fire in that area. Good to see the creek is still very beautiful. There is also a trail upstream of Sweet Creek falls, and you can hike down to the falls on the other side of the creek, along the sandstone cliffs of the Tyee Formation. Not for toddlers though.

That's cool there is more. I often miss coast range things because we all usually just drive through it to reach a destination.

The low coast mountains of Washington and Oregon are fantastic. I really enjoy wandering around in them. This video shows what I really like. Getting older I like the easier hikes. The coastal rain forests are beautiful and it is great to see you enjoying them with your family. As always an enjoyable video, thanks Matt.
@MattCookOregon2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ken. Wet forests are what most of us think when imagining Oregon nature. The coast range could provide endless videos for me. I like to keep a variety but I will be back at some point.

@@MattCookOregon To me Oregon is a rugged coast and a great high desert for rockhounding. Starting to learn more of about the moist coast. I am from true temperate rain forest country

Your daughter is gonna be the only girl in her school to have actually experienced Oregon. All other kids just experience cities and smart phones. She's gonna have a leg up any ladder ahead of them! This is fun to watch today while spinning old albums on my turntable.

Thanks Lots of good forest land there. Lots of it would be too difficult to harvest so they have some very old forests. Devils Staircase is another real nice area out there.

I'm sorry but I think some of the shots of your little girl have to be more serious contenders for the "best shot of the day" title. It's kind of cool seeing the children of youtube content providers grow up as time passes. Keep cranking these videos out and thanks for sharing this little hike.
