I think at first when I watched the newest episode, I was full of pain of what dean said to cas and what it meant for the relationship between the two of them. But now I am so glad that he made the decision to leave and take whatever moments he has left to dedicate to him finding out who he really is, without the aid of the winchesters. The winchesters, especially dean, haven't been treating castiel like he is their friend or even relatively like he is a human. They treat him more as a pet; an accessory that they can choose to wear whenever they please. It's really damaging to Castiel and I am glad that he chose to go off on his own. I hope the best for him.

I was so happy for him when he had Jack around. I think having him made Cas feel whole again because the boys don't really need him anymore but this kid did. And now he's gone and I just hope that Jack and Cas will reunite before the show ends because they don't deserve such a sad ending.

Honestly, he has lost more than anyone. His beliefs, uncountable brothers and sisters,Jack, his father, (himself, Dean and Sam) x 10000, ETC. . And I'm not saying he's blameless, but he needs time to heal from everything. And Dean has been nothing but an asshole to him ( not saying he's right or wrong, he's just been terrible and that's a fact), Sam and he have 5-10 really good episodes, barely any quality screentime, and lately they're just using him. He needs to heal, he needs to figure everything out again. "i am nothing" THIS is what needs to change. And he can't do it with Sam and especially dean treating him like that. I think he was right to go. It's not the time for him to be with them.

cas was so confident at the beginning of season 4, controlling the brothers and helping them through every step. now, they use cas as a doormat to wipe their feet on... and it breaks my heart. cas has changed so much negatively, (im not saying his character sucks, im saying that he lost his confidence and happiness) dean is now a heartless jerk honestly, at the beginning of the show, dean was a funny and cocky character, and now all he cares about is himself. watching this, I literally started sobbing because of how drastically they've changed dean and how dean's character drastically changed cas. it hurts so bad.

It’s as if the Winchesters are stranded on an island, and they send out SOS’s, Castiel saw it and wanted to help but the rest of his ship didn’t want to, so he went by himself and maybe a good friend to try and help, and now the Winchesters don’t want the help anymore

I'm still so angry after the writers, Dean didn't evolve anymore he just became a asshole without a heart. I hated the way he speak to Cas, Cas sacrified everything for him, for Sam, for Jack. I hope Dean is gonna regret this and that Cas is gonna remind him that he's more than just a accessory but a angel who learn how to be human and who had the right to make mistakes because he as heart. I was thinking about this recently, wondering if Dean has really even had character development. I can see it in pretty much all the main characters, but Dean just seems to be the same (although I suppose he has developed a bit--for example, he let that werewolf girl go). But he's still an asshole towards Cass. And the thing is, you know Dean hates himself too, but that's not an excuse to make other people feel like sh*t.

Why are they not having character development in dean's character.. they just made him dark.. he was the most sarcastic character on supernatural and chilled through rough patches and situation now he is angry and mean and so not funny anymore.. :) I mean I still love him but the progression from " I think I m adorable (he still had self worth issues but come on ..)" to "i dont matter" is a big change

I also feel upset at the writers for letting it come this far, but then I think about how powerful the fix-it is going to be, and it better be a good one! I think (hope!) that they deliberately made Dean and Cas' relationship come to the lowest point possible, so that rebound will be spectacular. I'm hoping it will happen (or at least start) in 15x09 in purgatory!

Dean really made me angry. I was like, welp. Destiel is done. Then again, the Winchesters never really call on him except to use him as an errand boy. I'd rather see Cass with Meg. She was a demon who did despicable things, but at least she appreciated Cass and took care of him. More importantly, I want Cass to find his real happiness and also be able to be a father for Jack like he wanted to be

Honestly, I'm glad that Cas went out on his own. Sometimes Sam and mostly Dean are *so* manipulative and hurtful to the people they care about. I doubt it's intentional, it just came with the way they were raised, you keep people that are willing and capable of helping you close and you keep them that way because otherwise you could die, open up so they won't leave, verbally abuse so that they won't make a stupid mistake again, it was a subconcious habit that the job and John ingrained in them via example. But Cas deserves better.

He really did deserve better, he gave everything for sam and dean he went against his orders for sam and dean and they hardly gave him everything, he was a dad in place of an absent dad. He was a giver to the boys. He was smiling when he should have been crying. He gave his best and none of it was good enough for them. He walked out and non one stopped him. The only person who ever cared for him died in front of him. He tried to do everything for the better but always ended up in pain. This beautiful soul deserved better.

People often dismiss Castiel but the truth is he is a vital part of the show. Without Castiel breaking free of Chuck's narrative, the boys would have never stopped the apocalypse, and eventually Sam and Dean would have never worked. The fact that he's been beaten time and time again and still gets up everytime and tries again, makes him stronger than even Dean. He was mistreated by everyone baring Jack. I think people do not appreciate the character or Misha's stella performance enough.

And I can’t… I can’t stop it." , and then forgiving Castiel for Mary’s death which he had nothing to do with and had no part in - so why does he need to be forgiven? Dean’s apology is the typical abuser making excuses for him-/herself, and seeing how he has been emotionally abusing Castiel for a decade I guess it fits his character (which is a damn shame).

Now that i really think about it, Cas always get the short end of the sticks. Chuck was truly set on beating this poor angel down. But at the end of the day, some of Cas's decision has been good for the world in a long run; considering disobedience, believing in the boys, rebeling against the angels, putting his trust in Jack (thats his biggest win)

I've just whitenesed my favorite character being taken from us.from his family. He has sacrificed himself once again but I feel like this will be the last time. I have been looking for closure. For hope. But I've found something better than all of that. I've found his meanings, his mistakes, his happiness, his family, and everything that has made Castiel, Castiel. I felt this so viscerally that at one point I had to literally put my fist into my mouth and /bite/. And I bit down so hard that now I have still a red mark on my fingers 10 minutes later. Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing so carefully and beautifully this part of Castiel's journey. I could feel how his shoulder became heavier and heavier with failure, mistakes, untold words and self loathing. After the reconciliation of Dean in purgatory.. I am still mad at everyone. Sure they are all sorry to Castiel and maybe regret how they treated the angel, but man the heartache is still there. Even in happy times, I'm still reminded of Cas' heartaches. I can't watch without crying HAHAH. And now that he was taken by the empty and he's love confession to Dean which can't be reciprocated by the hunter in "love love" way, I feel really sad.. after all he's sacrifices and everything. fuck do I need to see professionals to recover from this shit show??
