I'm finally DONE!
I started this project at the beginning of this year, by selecting all Castiel scenes from s4 up to s11. The actual editing started 3 month ago and now I'm finally here! You guys have no idea how much this project grew on me. I almost didn't want to let it go.
In the video I tried to do a sort of character study(?), putting many parallels and different character trades of Cas in it. You probably won't understand all of the voiceovers, which is fine, just concentrate on the big picture!
I tried this new style and I have to say, it's a real pain! So to everyone who is doing these kind of videos, you have my respect!
Last but not least, I want to thank Laure, Eloisa & Matt for sending me some scenes and also Aneta, Vivien and Nat for the support and help!
This video will also be my entry for the CW Contest, because I probbaly won't have time to do a whole new video and since it contains a lot of parallels, I hope it'll fit to the task!

Marie S There weren't any real spoilers because the tribute was made up of such brief clips from the episodes that feature his character; I just got a really good *feel* for what he's like, and I think I could possibly fall in love with him, ha ha! XD Yeah, I want to watch it... I wonder if Netflix has it. I'll have to look into that. :)

He really is an amazing character. I hope you've followed through and watched it. He doesn't enter until season 4, but the earlier stuff is worth getting to know. Season 6-7 sorta drags him through the mud plot wise because of the production team at that point, but truck through and don't give up.

I did indeed give it a chance and I got up to at least Season 4 and saw Castiel and loved his portrayal from what I had so far seen. However, a disturbance forced me to stop watching this show. And it is my firm belief that the real Castiel does not approve of having his identity used as a human's plaything and cash cow. I will not be going back, but the character of Castiel gives excellent advice when he tells Dean early on, "Read the Bible." I have been changed.

i remember watching this on sylvester. almost a whole year has passed since then, yet i still come back over and over again to watch this masterpiece. you've captured castiel's development perfectly. yeah he was responsible for a few bad things that happened but he always had good intentions. he never meant for things to turn out the way they did. he made mistakes, he's flawed too. he's not the perfect little soldier he was at the beginning of season four. he became human and developed so much throughout the seasons. he deserves so much better.

castiel's character development in my opinion is fantastic. like he went from the most loyal angel to heaven to the one who rebelled for humanity. and for that, he went through hell, but he fought through it, no matter how tough things got, and they got hard. cas deserves all the appreciation and more that he gets.

WELL THAT WAS FEELS CENTRAL what a great use of the dialogue clips and showing his progression through the series; he's come so far, and even when he takes steps backwards he tries to hard to move forward again. Im literally in freaking tears with this video. I watched it many times already and I cant stop crying. Cas is slowly becoming my favorite character on Supernatural solely because he is truly the definition of someone that can change for the better. He went from some angel whose purpose was to serve God and be with his brothers and sisters. Literally his whole mindset was altered when he met the Winchesters because he seen what it meant to have humanity. Castiel, the angel who obeyed his every order, didn't serve humans, became human and fully understood the marks of being so fragile. He's willing to risk everything just to make sure the people of the world are safe. I can't even go into depths the amount of love I have for him and what he has contributed to the show. I just really hope next season will be better for Cas because the past few seasons, they have been treating him like shit.

2:20 this gutted me. i love him so much. my parents watched spn while I was growing up but never got round to finishing it after s8 because life got in the way. castiel was my mum's favourite character, and i lost her a couple of years ago. i adore castiel, and even though i think he deserves better as a character, i'm up to s9 on my first time watching and am still watching to see his journey through to the end, even if the writing of the show annoys me sometimes. that line brings me comfort, that even after everything that happened to him, he is still himself even after everything that has changed. thank you for sharing this video.
