I have been subscribed about a week now and I have to say your moto-vlogs are some of the best I have seen on You Tube. I read somewhere recently that the Chinese government told all manufacturers they had to vastly improve the quality and workmanship of their products or face the wrath of being forced out of business. In the last 10 years we have gone from copy cat vehicles to some of the most amazing tech and vehicles on the planet. They really have come on in leaps and bounds. I have always thought of Benelli as having the ideas of potentially amazing machines but never really hit the mark of the Japanese or European bikes. This Leoncino looks amazing and very well built. It might be🏍 a good idea Mark, to suss out an owner of some of these machines you test, and get some real world data and info on long term results. I mean, most machines look great factory fresh. It's only when they've been used for a few thousand miles/kilometres can we really know how good they actually are. Just an idea to boost the channel perhaps......🏍🏍🏍

@@dannythinko I put about 300 miles on it this weekend. Only complaints are finding neutral is to easy. Often it can be hard to find, not on this bike though lol. Also had some weird mis-shifts into 5th, only happened twice though and hasn’t happened since. Other then the shifter being a tad sloppy, I don’t have any complaints. Great review Mark. I do think Benelli naming the bike “Trail” is a bit misleading. That front fender would allow everything to get back into the radiator and pipes. No protection or even a fake bash plate. Maybe they offer accessories to fix that? Otherwise a nice looking street bike that should avoid gravel roads.

Handsome bike, especially in this green, but I bet it depreciates badly. Benellis are very reliable, although it needs too much servicing. 4,500 rpm at 60 mph in top is undergeared compared to the NC750 which would be doing 3,000 rpm. Unusual rev counter that runs two ways. The exhaust note sounds good. I'd rather like this Benelli, but a better idea is the NC DCT. I'll be keeping the 390 as a second bike, whatever. The usual excellent, thorough review.

Hi Mark. Nice review. I have now had one of these as a loan bike whilst my own bike was being serviced on two occasions. It is a lovely bike BUT on the second loan I had to drive through some very wet weather and am disappointed to report that the rear mudguard is absolutely useless. I had mud all over my back and if I had a pillion heaven knows how they would have faired. Don't get me wrong it is really fun to ride but the crap that was thrown up is, in my view unacceptable. I really have thought about buying one but this issue plus I fear the depreciation will be horrendous has made me decide not to get one. Best and keep safe fella, Old Bloke.

Interesting review Mark. I would comment that looking back at your youtube channel, I've noticed that you only ever say good things about the bikes you ride. You don't really review the bike as much as give a display of the positive features, an advert if you will, to someone looking to buy a new bike. I had a Benelli TRK 502 similar to the bike you reviewed a while ago. I'll admit right here that the price is VERY cheap compared to the competition. What you failed to mention anywhere in your review, is that the TRK 502 with 235 kilos all up and only 46 BHP makes for a bike that you have to rev the conrods out of the engine, to get past lorries on the motorway. You really have to plan your overtakes and take a run up once you have a bit of touring luggage aboard! There is no way you could say that the bike was a long distance tourer. 250 miles on one and unless you have a muscular physique, you are pretty tired. Also, breaking from even 70 mph is a pretty fraught affair due to the mass involved. The 800 lioncino on the face of it looks like a "Scrambler" style bike, but a long day riding that over rough terrain would be pretty exhausting due to its weight again. Please could we have a more balanced reivew of the bikes you ride in future as the current style isn't very impartial. No need to be negative about any of the bikes, but a "Pros and Cons" section in the review would make it seem less like an advert for the particular bike involved.

Ahh but would you buy one Mark? I had a 752s same get up really. Loved it. When I came to sell it, no dealer wanted it. Paid 6.5K had it 6 months was pleased to trade at 3K in the end. The dealers don't want these returned and uk folk seem wary to buy these even with warranty. It holds the equity, as low. These larger Benelli bikes are good and the motors being made in china are reliable with globalisation. Frames and suspension are top spec. Mine gave 55mpg. Lovely engine note and just right grunt for the road. Mine had Brembro brakes Marzoki 54mm forks, look similar. Stopped, handled and went well. 752s had stickier Perrelli road tyres guess the Leon road will be similar. So, would you actually buy one Mark and what is your thought on slow uptake? Good review. You do get to ride many bikes and therefore are in a good position to compare. Maybe at the end of a video if you gave your personal thoughts it would ad interest without bias. Only a suggestion.

@@markpulling12 Still leaning towards an Enfield but delayed visit to garage due to lack of motorbike chain. Was going for the Oxford HD £40 one...just a deterrent... Any suggestions? I want something under 5kg n robust enough just to stop liftage (am only gonna chain the bike up for 5 mins etc) e.g if stop for a tea at a pub n need a pee etc

Just watched this again, Mark. I don't know whether this is available here. If it is, it will be cheap. Does it have as much low-down shove as the NC750X?
@markpulling122 жыл бұрын
Hi nik very nearly I'd say 80 % as much but it has more power through the mid and top end I'd say 75 ish true rwhp cheers mark

@@markpulling12 Thanks for that. The NC is beginning to sound like my bike. The storage unit in the dummy tank would be so useful. The low c of g, ther DCT, the economy. Regards, Nick

I didn't really like the look of the bike... But then you rode it Mark and the performance won me over.. I'd buy one. Something different.

G'day Mark from Australia, mate this bike should be called a BSA " bits stuck anywhere" the designer must have been drunk at the drawing board, yes it has 2 wheels and a motor but come on there's no head tuning class about this one, as always great review A+ for you, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.

I like it... but the 500 is prettier. And while not many people are going to use it off-road very much, it's looks like it would be a capable "trail" bike (smooth-ish dirt roads) and I could see myself using it like that if needed. So there should be some standard engine and radiator protection? To buy those things in the aftermarket is expensive relative to the cost of the bike, if they are even available, but would add very little to the cost of the bike if standard equipment.
@axxamit2 жыл бұрын
500 Trail is surprisingly capable offroad. I’ve been using mine like a proper scrambler, 50/50 on- and off-road, and it has never let me down. Obviously, it’s not meant for jumping or heavy terrain, but as a scrambler, it just does the job.
@adamy29272 жыл бұрын
Personally I wish Leoncino Trail with looks of the 500 (more classical round headlamp, round+oval display, more classical tank shape & the engine + features from the 800 version ;)
@ttmadness342 жыл бұрын
Looks good that, the only disappointment is that the bike at the show had Brembo calipers and marzocchi forks.
@markpulling122 жыл бұрын
That explains it then I read that in the specs then didn't see it on this bike cheers mark
@ttmadness342 жыл бұрын
@@markpulling12 yes, they seem to get that spec in other countries, I also seen a video with the trail version and it had a 17 inch spoked front wheel.

How do you think would these be for touring? I want something I can commute on and take on holiday without breaking the bank, or buying two bikes. I guess the road version would be a better option for luggage with its lower exhaust?
@markpulling122 жыл бұрын
Yes I'm sure this would be fine for touring...ok it's not got a fairing...but it's not all about speed just take it steady and enjoy the scenery:)

No center stand? why do they do that.
@markpulling122 жыл бұрын
Agreed .....but it's to increase ground clearance:)
@dannythinko2 жыл бұрын
I think it's partly to do with the increase in cat and exhaust stuff due to emission regs; they try and stick all of that underneath where the centre stand would go. Must be a way to solve that though and still have a centre stand?
