Same here, still love my mustangs but I’ve had a j32 swapped 6spd coupe and currently have a k series 4 door that sits next to my fox body. Hated Hondas back in the highschool days and waxed many Hondas with my numerous mustangs, but I was also surprised when I got my coupe how fun they can be, and if I ever wanted too I could definitely build a j or a k that would have plenty of power and still be a good daily that I’m not worried about drivin in the snow or somebody hitting me and ruining my 20k plus car

I owned a k24 5speed manual and loved it, sold it to a buddy for a 2007 v6 6speed SEDAN from an elderly lady one owner who dropped all of the maintenance records from dealership with it. I added full exhaust system, intake, short shifter, check valve deletes, coils etc and even bit into a pedal commander that opened up the throttle for sure. Next might be the ported j35 manifold and T.B. to complete it. I love my daily family sedan that makes mustang GTs sad at the track lol.

The 4 cyl Gen 7 Accords were actually the better car. Everyone loves the 6 cyl, but the 4 cyl is lighter, gives the car much better front to back handling; and is much less stressful on the overall car, including steering, engine mounts. The 4 cyl gets much better gas mileage, is a better design, and has a timing chain, so it's not necessary to change the chain! NO TIMING BELT CHANGES! Much less maint on the 4 cyl; only needs 10K oil changes; stated in the manual, oil changes only required every 10K miles!

I'm 58yrs old and a modified 7th gen k24 sedan is my DD. This car was a soft, slow, wallowing mess in stock form when I bought it 5yrs ago. Some suspension mods, chassis braces, and lightweight alloys have transformed this car into one that I look forward to driving everyday.

I’ve had three Accord, two of them have been 2006 7.5th gen’s. One of them was a K24 with the 5 speed that I drove to 410,000 miles with the full original drivetrain. I sold it and it’s still being driven. The other is a J30 6 speed sedan which are quite rare (more common in the coupe). I’ve owned it for almost 9 years and it’s one of my favorite cars ever. It now has 220,000 and is dead reliable. It’s fun, decently fast, sporty, good on gas, and practical. It’s even good in the snow with a good set of tires. It’s the ideal daily driver in my book!

cars that the 3.0l accord can easily hang with on a twisty bumpy backroad: 2016 mustang Gt, 1st gen boxter, e46 m3, FBO 2.5 swapped NC Miata, gt86/frs. The engine has just enough torque and the suspension is extremely capable of handling all sorts of road surfaces. Making for a worry free driving experience and overall able to carry more speed through corners where other cars are too unstable. Only corners it struggles in are tight uphill ones, FWD + Open diff things. But for a cheap 20 year old grocery getter it is unreal the kind of pace you can lay down.

It's still got the original shocks and drives great! 153K Miles, my wife wants me to get rid of it; but why? It's a 20 yo great car, and I bought the car I wanted, have not seen a better deal yet.. It really does need front rotor upgrade to something heavier; there are a few parts on it, once replaced, are so much better. It brakes much better now with good pads, heavy rotors. It's quick enough just the way it is, and very quiet. Just replaced the washer pump; it was 20 years old. Finally cut out on me.

I found it very telling; the newer Civics are the same size as the older Accords. I think it's because the 7th Gen Accord is a very sweet size, it's the sweet spot for a bigger sport car; not too big, not too heavy; really easy to handle. Newer Accords feel boxy, heavy to me, not nearly as sporty as the older Accords.
